What A Friend We Have In Jesus *Response:  O Word of God incarnate, O Wisdom from on high,
What a Friend we have in Jesus,  All our sins and griefs to bear! O Truth unchanged, unchanging, O Light of our dark sky,
What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! We praise Thee for the radiance, That from the hallowed page,
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, A lantern to our footsteps, Shines on from age to age!
All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!

desperate need. This we pray this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen. When I am sad, to Him I go; No other one can cheer me so.
When I am sad, He makes me glad; He’s my Friend.
*HOLY EUCHARIST
It’s such a simple descriptive story. Jesus is all the world to me, My Friend in trials sore.
I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them o’er and o’er.
Jesus goes with Simon Peter and Andrew to their home, where he heard Simon He sends the sunshine and the rain; He sends the harvest’s golden grain:
Peter’s mother-in-law had a fever and was in bed.  Jesus took her by the hand Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain— He’s my Friend.
and lifted her up.  The fever left.
Jesus is all the world to me, And true to Him I’ll be.
And she began to serve them. Oh, how could I this Friend deny When He’s so true to me?
Following Him I know I’m right; He watches o’er me day and night.
Today I invite you to join me, stepping directly into this story, as we gather Following Him by day and night,  He’s my Friend.
around this Table. For here is a place Jesus offers his own life.  We may not feel
the warmth of his hand in ours, but we know the sense of being lifted up. PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND DEDICATION
Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better friend.
I trust Him now; I’ll trust Him when Life’s fleeting days shall end.
Beautiful life with such a Friend;Beautiful life that has no end!
Eternal life, eternal joy, He’s my Friend.
