First Semester Exam Correction

Topic The student is to select one approach from the three approaches (the
Grammar Translation, the Direct Method or the Audio-Lingual)
suggested by the teacher.

In a brief introduction, the student may state that the field of foreign
language teaching in general and Teaching English as a Foreign
Language in particular, has been and will continue to be the history

of controversies, debates and researches.
The student may also shed a slight light on some historical
backgrounds which paved the way to the emergence of the approach
he has selected to discuss.

A general discussion about the “the language teaching approach” 


Body referring to its aims, characteristics, techniques, advantages, and
shortcomings.
N.B. A single paragraph is to be assigned for each main idea.

To reconfirm the thesis (The field of foreign language teaching has


been and will continue to be the history of controversies, debates and

effectiveness of the approach is concerned.
