Water Purifiers
Pure Drinking Water for Everyone
0
Market Need
Access to healthy water is a significant problem today because existing purifiers are too expensive, potentially
harmful, or unavailable to people who need them.
The answer to today’s potable water problems is a technologically proven, cost effective,
accessible, and scalable solution that doesn’t need power to function.
Our company owns proprietary technology that kills, and prevents the reproduction of, 100% of all
waterborne pathogens from any freshwater source. It also removes odor and iron and reduces hardness. We’ve
used this technology to design cost effective products at the household and community level to achieve our aim
of democratizing healthy water.
AQUAJAL purification is done through a combination of large particle filters and a patented
nanotechnology application of medicines on fabric to kill, and prevent reproduction of, 100% of all
waterborne pathogens.
The large particle filters remove odor and sediment and impede flow to ensure that all water particles come in
contact with the treated fabric. The fabric is coated with antibiotics, nano-silver particles, and anti-
fungals which together form a colorless, odorless, positively charged barrier on its surface.
We designed the AQUAJAL Household and Community Water Purifiers as a solution to all the problems
existing purifiers present in urban and rural communities.

Tests
We’ve tested the AQUAJAL Technology in India and abroad to ensure that it conforms to the highest standards
of safety4
Meets IS 10500-1991standards
Meets World Health Organization standards for potable water

The AQUAJAL Household Purifier can purify 6 liters of water twice a day.
It’s a lightweight and easy-to-use option that is ideal for rural and urban homes, refugee
camps, disaster management sites, remote communities and anywhere else where
people need access to healthy water at a very low price.
The multiple layers of medicinally treated fabric in the input and output containers
minimize the risk of contamination.
The purifier requires no company servicing and the purification technology has a lifespan of one full
year.

AQUAJAL Community Water Purifier Range
The AQUAJAL Community Purifier Range has models with the capacity to purify
anywhere from 100 liters twice a day to thousands of liters twice a day.
All the community models are designed to work with the gravitational flow of
water so that they can be deployed in areas without power. A.HWCo. is
currently working on developing an option for a model with a pump to increase flow rate.
1,000 liter AQUAJAL purifier
with plumbing and frame
The primary purification mechanism in all the community units is the AQUAJAL Coated Filter, which is a
combination of large particle filters and medicinally treated fabric that kills 100% of waterborne
pathogens. The capacity of the purifier determines the number of Coated Filters required.
6
Optimal Infrastructure
The optimal infrastructure for the large scale community products includes an existing fresh or municipal
water source and a holding tank between the source and the input water container to control flow rate
and remove large sediment. Water feed to the input container should be through gravity, a water pump or
manual feed. An existing point of contact whom A.HWCo. can train to install and maintain the unit will be
optimal.
7
Within this infrastructure, A.HWCo. will supply the AQUAJAL Coated Filters as well as loose AQUAJAL
Coated Fabric to line input pipes and hang in the output container.
Materials for assembly, water storage and plumbing will need to be locally sourced by the buyer.
