Army Family Team Building Level III

Coaching and Mentoring

Feedback Scenario
As the committee chair for this year’s annual major event, Jane held monthly meetings
for all the people involved, namely her committee heads. The meetings went very well
and helped to make the event a success.

Jane was very organized. She developed a report form, which the committee chairs
completed for the meeting. She also set the dates, times and locations for the meetings
the first time she gathered all of her committee chairs. She sent out an agenda, so
everyone knew what Jane was going to discuss and the order of how she was going to
conduct the meeting. It was apparent Jane was in charge of the meeting. However,
she was very open to all ideas and suggestions and listened to all input before she made
any decisions.

Because of Jane’s interpersonal skills, her committee became a team and worked
together very well. Her conduct of the monthly meetings contributed to this teamwork.

What are some points Alice needs to give Jane in her feedback about the monthly
meetings?
