2011 Financial Aid Instructions for International Applicants (Freshman and Transfer)

Applying for Financial Aid


Cornell has a need-blind admissions policy, which means that we review your
admissions application without considering whether you’ve applied for aid;
Cornell awards all financial aid on the basis of demonstrated financial need.
Cornell is pleased to be able to provide financial aid to a limited number of
students who are citizens of countries other than the United States.
International applicants (students who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents,
or who do not have refugee/asylee status) are eligible to apply for financial assistance and International Financial Aid Application Checklist

When you apply for financial aid, be sure to fully adhere to the financial aid application CSS PROFILE
deadlines. For freshmen applying early decision, the deadline is November 1, and for fresh-

men applying regular decision, the deadline is January 3. For transfers applying for spring
entry, the deadline is October 1; for transfers applying for fall entry, the deadline is Noncustodial Parent Income
