This course covers the basic concept and the opportunity to learn and develop the basic rules and skills of the chosen major sports,
COURSE DESCRIPTION offensive and defensive skills. Other purpose of this course is to provide learning experiences that will lead to the development of basic
skills in team sports. In addition to skill acquisition, the course will focus on how to plan and implement the four stages of skill
development in games through the use of extending, refining, and application tasks. Students will be expected to achieve an intermediate
level of skill in the selected team sports.
At the end of this course students will be able to:

3. Design team play concepts and strategies in mini-game play;
4. Identify the broad scope of teaching games content on physical education including the development of closed and open skills;
5. Organize appropriate combinations of extending refining and application task by selecting
modifying and applying a variety of pre-designed games for use as application task.

COURSE POLICIES:

Online/Blended Classes:

1. Wear appropriate Physical Activities attire


2. Send the practicum output to Group Chat only.

Face to Face Classes:


1. Wear PE Uniform every P.E. classes
2. Regular class attendance is a course requirement. Students are encouraged to attend class punctually. A 15-minute portion of class missed is counted as an absent.
3. A medical certificate issued by the attending physician or school nurse is required for absence due to illness.
4. Classes begin at the exact times specified in the schedule of classes. Tardiness in three (3) consecutive times will be counted as one (1) absent. Five consecutive absences
without any valid reason shall be automatically dropped from the class roll.
5. No one is allowed to use any electronic device during class discussion and examinations. All cellphones must be turned in discreet or silent mode when the class begins.
6. Attendance will be taken during each class. Students must be present during the entire class period to be marked present. Going out of class earlier than schedule is not
allowed.
7. Submission of projects/requirement should be on time. There would be deduction in every late submission of the said requirement
