Investigator (dissertation).
 Qualitative analysis using constant comparative method of 60 interviews of mothers with mental illness who
brought their children to mental health services. Identified a four-stage pathway to care; seven reasons why
mothers sought mental health services for their children; maternal attributions for child problems.

management of suicide, and students’ perceived self-efficacy in working with suicidal clients. Developed original
measures. Presented results at conferences for the Society on Social Work and Research (2007) and the American
Association of Suicidology (2007).
