Fuser Replacement
1. Unplug printer and allow time for it to cool.
2. Open top cover and remove toner cartridge.
3. At the rear of the open printer, remove the four tall gold
screws (white arrows) that secure the fuser. Slide the
fuser to the left and lift out.
4. When reinstalling, slide the fuser to the right and install
the four tall screws. Be careful of paper sensor flag and
drive gear.

Transfer Roller Replacement

1. Open top cover and remove toner cartridge.
2. Remove blue plastic retaining clip (arrow 1). Slide black
plastic bushing to right so that it separates slightly from
shaft (arrow 2).
3. Lift roller out from right side. Note how left side of roller
has pin installed for drive (arrow 3).
4. Install new transfer roller, left side first. Avoid touching
the transfer roller with your fingers, as this can cause con-
tamination and adversely affect print quality.
5. Reinstall retaining clip.

Pickup/Separation Rollers Replacement

1. Remove both cassette trays.
2. Locate pickup/separation rollers in cassette cavity (white
arrows).
3. Remove old rollers by pinching tab on end of shaft.
4. Install new rollers.
5. Repeat for each cassette tray.
 Duplex “D” Roller Replacement (if
equipped)
1. Remove lower paper cassette tray.
2. Remove “D” roller along bottom in lower cassette tray
cavity (white arrow).
3. Install new roller.

Clearing the Service Message

IIISi:
1. Press the “Online” button to take printer offline.
2. Hold down the “Menu” button until “PCL CONFIG MENU” is displayed.
3. Press the “Menu” button to scroll through messages until you find “SERVIC MSG ON.”
4. Press the “+” button, followed by the “ENTER/RESET MENU” button to change the display to read “SERVICE
MSG=OFF.”
5. Press the “Online” button.

4Si:
1. Press the “Menu” button until “CONFIG MENU” is displayed.
2. Press the “Item” button until “SERVICE MSG=ON” is displayed.
3. Press the “+” button to change display to read “SERVICE MSG=OFF.”
4. Press “Enter” button to save and “Online” button to exit.

Trouble-shooting
Partially fused print: 1. Remove spacers between rollers.

13 Paper Jam: 1. Verify all pickup/separation rollers are clipped onto shaft properly.
2. Check paper sensor flags in fuser for freedom of movement.

50 Error: 1. Turn machine off for 15 minutes to wait for reset.

2. Remove fuser.
3. Reseat fuser in printer.
