THEOVERVIEW
Hewlett-Packard company was founded in 1938 at Palo Alto in
California, USA by William(Bill) Hewlett and David(Dave) Packard.

Dave Packard and Bill Hewlett .

The company originated in a garage in nearby Palo Alto during their


fellowship under the professor Fredrick Terman at Stanford. HP was
established with initial investment of US$38.

The garage in California.

Incorporated on August 18, 1947 and went on public on Nov 6,1957.


Originally company worked on a wide range f electronic products
eventually they focused on high quality electronic products. The first

successful product was a precision audio oscillator and its earliest
customer was The Walt Disney Company.

THE TECHNOLOGY AND PRODUCTS


HP has successful line of printers, scanners, digital cameras,
PDA’s, servers, workstation computers and computers for home
and small business use computers. HP today not only supplies
hardwares and softwares but also a number of services to design.
Implement and support IT infrastructure.
