THIS WEEK: DMC Family Dinner Night: We are finally able to get our monthly Family Dinner Nights going
again and our first one is a “Drive Thru Only” at the Chick-A-Filet on Eastern…Wednesday, 2/24, 4-8pm.

Kudos to Cox Cub Emily Miller: Emily Miller from Orth's homeroom has completed the entire Lexia program. That
means the Power-Up program that goes up to 12th grade! Awesome achievement! WOW!!!

Did you KNOW??? Thank you to the Largusa Family for sending in both the Pledge of Allegiance and our Cox
Cub Pledge. They sounded awesome for our Monday Beginnings Video! Your child may send in their recording to
their classroom teacher for Mrs. Heinlen to showcase during our Morning Beginnings!

Parent Live Stream Hybrid Presentation: Parents, tomorrow, Tuesday, 2/23, at 6:00 pm I will be presenting a
live stream on the hybrid model at DMC and what you can expect in terms of schedules, lunches, safety,

If your older child is escorting a younger sibling: Please have your older students take their younger siblings to
their gate before going to their classrooms in the morning. Older siblings will be released early from class to get
their younger siblings and pick them up through the hallways.

RECORDERS for 4th & 5th Grade: Students in grades 4 and 5 will learn to read music notes by playing a small
flute-like instrument called a Recorder. Many students already own a recorder from previous years. Recorders will
be on sale in our David M. Cox Webstore beginning March 1st. The cost will be $7. If your family cannot afford
one at this time, please contact Mrs. Papanek and we will work something out.

Student Packet Pick Up: Families, after March 1st, we will still be having work packet pick-up, however it will not
be an “in person” hand-out like we’ve done for the past year. The next pick-up is March 12th and there will be a file
cabinet next to our front doors of the school labeled with grades. The teachers will place all work into their file draw
for pick-up the day before and you may come and pick-up any work at anytime the day of pick-up (or later).
Teachers will Dojo message parents if there is work to be picked up and all students in Cohort A and B will get
their work directly from their teacher.
