Turning on Notifications:

To personalise your Microsoft Teams notifications:

1. Click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Teams
homepage

2. Select Settings, then notifications

3. Select Teams and Channels, then select All Activity

4. Select Permissions, ensure that the notifications tab is turned on to green.

Joining a live class:

There are two options for joining a live class. If you are having problems joining
a live class, you must message your teacher.

Option 1: Join a live class from your Calendar

1. Login to MS Teams

2. Select Calendar on the left sidebar

3. Your calendar will open. Click the meeting you want to attend and select Join.

Option 2: Join a live class from a channel

1. Login to MS Teams

2. Select the Team that the class is taking place in (1 st Maths etc.).

3. The Team will open. Select Posts. There will be an option to join, click Join.

How to upload a file for an assignment:

If you are uploading a Word document or a PowerPoint you will need to save the
file you want to upload first, see below to save your file and to upload a file
to assignment.

If you are uploading a photograph of your work from your mobile phone, see
below to upload a file to assignment.

To save your file:

1. Click the file tab on the top right of the document

2. Click save as

3. Choose a file location, such as OneDrive or THIS PC to store your file

4. In the file name box, enter a name for this file (Biology Homework 2 nd
February 2021)

5. In the save as type list, click on the file format that you want to save the file
in, for example Word Document (.docx)

6. Click Save

To upload a file to assignment:

1. Open Teams homepage.

2. Select the Team you want to upload to.

3. Click the Assignments tab, along the top of the page. Your assigned work will
show in order of due date.

4. Select the assignment you want to submit work for.

5. Select +Add work, select the file or photograph you want to submit.

6. When you have uploaded the file, click Turn in. You must click Turn in for
your teacher to receive your work.
