SCOPE OF WORK :- Inspection & Servicing of Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting Equipments.
1. Inspection & Servicing of Fire Extinguishers
a. Examined for obvious physical damage ,corrosion, leakage, clogged hose, handle damage, gauge
damage etc
b.Checking the weight using a weigh balance.
C. Shaking or Rolling DCP Fire Extinguisher to ensure the powder is not stuck inside.
d. Ensuring the safety seals and tampers indicators not broken or missing.
e. Update the date of next service due.
f. Operating mechanism to be free of damage.
g. Located in designated place.
h. No obstrucation to access or visibility
Corrective Action:-
When an inspection of any fire extinguisher reveals a deficiency in any of the condition listed in (h) & (g);
immediate corrective action shall be taken.
Rechargeable Fire Extinguishers:-
When an inspection of any rechargeable fire extinguisher reveals a deficiency in any of the condition listed
in (a),(b),(c),(d); it shall be subjected to applicable maintenance procedure with quotation.
2. Inspection & Servicing of the Fire alarm

The purpose of belwo mentioned method of statement is to explain the steps for the testing fire alarm
system. This procedure is to define the step by step method to implement the correct practices for the
testing of "fire alarm system"through the guidlines contained herein so as to ensure that the job execution
complies with the project requirments and serves the intended function to satisfactory level.

Testing Procedure for Addressable fire alarm System:-

a. Visual inspection of fire alarm system devices for damage.
b.Testing smoke detector using fire alarm tester(Pole)
c. Testing Manual Call Point
d. Observe the notification devices are functioning or not.
3. Inspection & Servicing of FM200
a. Check all the conditions of the pipes/cylinder pressure, panel condition
b. Check the status of the panel if there is some faults or issues
Testing Procedure for FM200
a. Before carrying out any further checks ensure the extinguisher system is isolated electrically and
mechanically, remove all pneumatic actuators if fitted.
b. Test the 1 smoke dectector (If One smoke detector is activated by smoke then there should be an
audible alarm (BELL) at the protected space & a signal to the Main Fire Alarm Panel (FACP) shall be sent.
c. Test the 2nd Smoke detector (when Second smoke detector also activates then countdown of30 sec
(time can be Vary upon operator requirements) is started after which the actuator is activated which
opens the cylinder head valve. (Usually Actuator is removed from the cylinder head valve because the gas
inside is expensive & the actuator is test alone for the required volts just after the countdown of30 sec.).
A flashing light with Audible sound is activated just after the actuator activation.)
d. For Manual Pull Station ( Automatic release and activate the actuator without delay)
When an inspection of any rechargeable fire extinguisher reveals a deficiency in any of the condition listed
in (a),(b),(c),(d); it shall be subjected to applicable maintenance procedure with quotation.

d. For Manual Pull Station ( Automatic release and activate the actuator without delay)
e. After testing done reset the actuator then reset the panel, make sure all smoke detector, manual pull
station is in normal condition
f. Check the panel condition (fault, battery status, fire, etc)
g. If all are in normal state, connect it back the actuators to the cylinder
4. Checking & Testing of Emergency Lights:-
a. Visual inspection for damage identification.
b.Power cut off test by switching off the breaker.

5. Inspection of Sprinkler System:-

Visual inspection for damage , cover etc.

6.Fire Hose Reel Inspection and testing

a. Checking the system if there is existense of leakage
b. Checking the hose/pipes/nozzles/drums/gate valve conditions
Testing procedure for fire hose reel
a. Roll over all the hosereel from its drum and open the nozzle and test.
b. check the pressure
c. Check Auto cut-in/cut-off of pumps when hosereel is operating/pressure is re-established

7.Fire Hydrant Inspection.

a. Checking the system if there is existense of leakage
Sequence of Operations: b. Check the inside the cabinets equipments are avaible otherwise need to put new
c. Check the condition of the hydrants (any corrosion, missing parts, leakages)
Testing of fire hydrant.
a. Connect all the hoses in fire hydrant landing valve.
b. Connect the nozzles on the hoses
c. Open the landing valve and check the pressure (one at a time)
8. Deluge inspection and testing
OPENNING
1. Keep the upstream side of the stop valve partially open. To avoid water flow to system side close the
system side stop valve. This valve is to be kept in open position after the
testing is completed.
2. Let any of the release devices to trip. This will result in sudden drop of water pressure in the deluge
valve top chamber which in turn will open the deluge valve. Close the upstream side stop valve
immediately.
RESETTING PROCEDURE
1. Close the upstream side stop valve provided below the deluge valve to cease the flow of water.
2. Open both the drain valves/ drain plugs and close when the flow of water has ceased.
3. Close the release device/replace the Sprinkler if release was through Sprinkler/ QB Detector.
4. Inspect and release if required, or close the section of the detection system subjected to “Fire
condition”.
5. In case of dry pilot detection system, open the air supply valve to build-up air pressure. Open the
priming valve fully. Open the upstream side of the stop valve provided below the Deluge valve. No water
should flow
into the system.
6. Where priming shut off valve (optional) is provided for
resetting, then the water need to be drained from upstream
side of valve
AFTER RESETTING
1. Drain valves must be kept closed
2. No leak or drip is detected from the drip valve
3. All the gauges except the system side water pressure gauge, should show the required pressure
4. There should be no leakage in the system
9. Safety/Eye Showers Inspection and testing
a. Check the conditions of the system ( leakage, damage ,etc)
b. Test the shower and ensure that the pressure is normal
c. Test the eye wash and check the pressure are okay
d. ensure the water is clean without any dirt or rust.
a. Connect all the hoses in fire hydrant landing valve.
b. Connect the nozzles on the hoses
c. Open the landing valve and check the pressure (one at a time)
