SYNOPSIS of Dettol Antiseptic Liquid

AIM:

To analyse the preference of consumer for dettol and savlon


antiseptic liquid in Navi Mumbai area . To study of potential sales of dettol
antiseptic liquid product in India.

OBJECTIVES:

1.Find out the sales of antiseptic liquid in Navi Mumbai region.

2.To measure the consumer satisfaction related to the


product.
3.To search the benefit of antiseptic liquid.

4.To analyse the effect of advertisement for


purchase of the product.

HYPOTHESIS:

On the basis of advertisements,brand


loyality,price,quality assumption is that Dettol is preffered over Savlon.

RESEARCH METHODOLGY:

The primary data was collected with the help of questionnaire


prepared and distributed amongst 10 medical stores and 10 general stores and
the user of the product whereas the secondary data was collected with the help
of articles found in magazines,newspapers and on the internet.
SCOPE:

This survey report will help me to know actual sales, market


share, competitors, pricing policies, Consumer preferences and quality promise by
conducting this survey at grass route level in local market.

LIMITATIONS:

1. None of the shops that I visited showed much cooperation


making it difficult to collect the appropriate data in the manner I wanted it.

2. Due to time constraints I was unable to conduct a


more detailed study.
3. The data that was provided to me by the
shop keepers may not be 100% accurate as the numbers provided were in terms
of approximation in value.
