A NARRATIVE ON THE ORIENTATION OF THE

LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES COURSE (LDM2)


FOR TEACHERS

Teaching has been a challenging task at this time due to the pandemic, however as our
secretary of education, Sec. Leonor Briones stated, education must continue. Several
mediums had been designed and implanted in order to meet the needs of educating our
learners and delivering quality learning to them.
The CCNHS- Annex PC Hill Site enjoins the DepEd and our Division’s thrust of giving our
clientele the best of our services.
An orientation of the Learning Modalities Course (LDM2) was conducted through the
leadership of our active district supervisor, Dr. Mamerta G. Ocampo, PhD with the help of
the Principals and other Master Teachers of selected schools in elementary and high school of
the district 4.
The orientation started with a prayer and the singing of the national anthem. It was
followed by an Opening Remarks by Ma’am Judith G. Tinio, the principal of Rojas Central
Elementary School. She stresses on the idea of teachers to be ideal must have the knowledge
of his/her subject taught and appropriate skills as well as the traits of enthusiasm and
dedication. After which was the introduction of the number of participants by the
principal of Kimpo Elementary School, Ma’am Aida T. Dimen. The said orientation was
attended by the ff:

The said orientation is supposed to be observed by the SDS Concepcion F. Balawag, CESO 5
and Sir Esmael Mamalaguia, PhD unfortunately they were not able to join. In their behalf our
District Supervisor Dr. Mamerta G. Ocampo delivered a message for the participants.. Ma’am
Ocampo stated that education must continue and that quality instruction has to be delivered
despite the distance learning we are adopting.
After which was the Checking-in and the presentation of Objective and Flow of
the Orientation by our own principal, Ma’am Bailyn M Palalisan, PhD. She stated the
purpose of the course, what it is all about and how it will help the teachers manage the
teaching-learning process in the modalities. She also presented the flow of the orientation, the
topics to be discussed and the speakers.
Session 1 is about the Course Overview of LDM2 for Teachers. This was discussed by
Ma’am Aida T. Dimen, the principal of Rojas Elementary School.

This includes LDM Framework, Delivery Design and the Type of LM utilized. She also
presented the course 1 that includes the learning delivery, the learning welfare and well-
being, the provision of psychological support and training on wellness. She also mentioned of
the synchronous and asynchronous teaching -learning, the coaching and technical assistance
mechanism for LDM2.
It was immediately followed by the Session 2 which is about the Technical Assisstance
and Coaching in LDM2.

This topic was tackled by the PC Hill Elementary principal Ma’am Emily Hofer. She
presented and discuss the different forms and flow of the LDM coaching arrangement. The
coaching arrangement will start from the region own to the division and to the school. The
coaches in the school are those qualified and seasoned senior teachers. Senior teachers are
those who are, Master Teachers, Head Teacher, Department Heads or other senior teachers
competent to lead the LAC. The coach will provide TA/coaching for the LAC through the
LAC leader. He/She will provide individual TA/coaching as requested, address concerns,
refer unaddressed concerns to the coaching team and provide feedback to the LAC or
individual members of the LAC. Ma’am Hofer also mentioned that the LAC leaders shall
closely coordinate with the Division LDM2 Coordinator assigned to the LAC in terms of the
following:
*assignment of roles of other LAC members,
*Organizing and leading the team in the LAC sessions,
*Monitoring of progress of individual members in the LDM2 course.
Session 3 is the Walkthrough of the LDM2 Modules for Teachers.
Session 3 is the Walkthrough of the LDM 2 Modules for Teachers by Dr. Judith G.
Tinio, the principal of Rojas Elementary School.

She discusses on the module objective, content, duration, activities, and the expected outputs.
SESSION 3.1 is about LDM 2 FOR TEACHERS MODULE 1
COURSE ORIENTATION. The objective, content lessons and activities and outputs were
presented for module 1.
SESSION 3.2 is on LDM 2 FOR TEACHERS MODULE 2 which is the MOST ESSENTIAL
LEARNING COMPETENCIES.
Lesson 1. Background, Rationale, and Development of MELCs
Lesson 2. Unpacking and Combining MELCs into Learning Objectives
Lesson 3. Comparing of the k to 12 Competencies and MELCS
Lesson 4. Discussing answers to activities 1-3+LAC
The expected output is Individual/LAC Group Presentation on Unpacking of a Sample
MELC.
She also discusses on designing instruction in different learning modalities its activities,
lessons and expected outputs. The Learning Resources its objectives, content, activities and
expected outputs were also presented. She also discusses on the PLANNING FOR
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LAC PLANNING with its
objectives, content, activities and expected output.
The last topic for this session is the BUILDING THE TEACHING PORTFOLIO-RELATED
TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MODALITIES. The objectives, the content, the
lessons and its activities and expected output were stated during her presentation.

Session 4 is on the Synthesis, Next Step and Activity Evaluation. This was handled by our
own District supervisor Ma’am Amy Deocampo, PhD.

She started with giving questions about the facts and information
given during the discussion of the topics by each speaker. This
was actively participated by the teachers and principals in
attendance.
After which was the OPEN FORUM hosted by Ma’am Bailyn M. Palalisan. The presentation
of the topics were very indeed that nobody from the attendies ask clarifications or even asks
questions.
Ma’am Mamerta G.Ocam[po was the one who formally closed the orientation program
A link was also given for the evaluation of the orientation to be rated by the teachers and
other attendies.

This orientation was hosted by Ma’am Arlene Ardedorn,MT-1 and Ma’am Ma. Fe Bacera,
Asst. Principal PC Hill Elementary.
