Judaism is a monotheistic religion and the oldest of the


Abrahamic faiths. Although Jews trace their roots back to
Abraham, Moses officially founded the religion in the Middle East
more than 3500 years ago. Jews believe they have a covenant with
God, for whom they try to maintain religious laws and teachings.
The Jews have been persecuted throughout history, most notably
during the Holocaust, during which six million Jews were
murdered.

Tradition is a quarterly journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought, published by the Rabbinical Council of
America. It has been in existence for 50 years, and is accessible online at www.traditiononline.org. 
Topics include Jewish law, Jewish philosophy, Bible, Talmud, Rabbinic literature, history, ethics,
bioethics,  et al.

The RCA is a rabbinic membership organization, based in NY City, with approximately 1000
