Eight Sunday in Ordinary Time
So what’s it going to be? God or stuff? Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night consumed with
sleep-stopping worries about job, money, clothing, shelter and more? Jesus knows we do and insists we
can defeat worry (which is useless) by turning all of our concerns over to God. This makes God master
over our problems and allows his grace to empower us. We have a choice: constant, useless worry or
productive trust in god. What will you choose?

360 Holy Hours were spent with our Lord last week in Eucharistic Adoration. The specific way that Jesus
asks you to love Him in return is to spend one quiet hour with Him each week in the Blessed Sacrament.
"Where your treasure is, there is your heart..." "Could you not watch one hour with me?" (Mt 6:21
26:40) There are still hours that need adorers.....please call Judy at 330-212-0926 if you are able help
out. Available hours: Sunday 2-3pm, Tuesday 2-3am, Thursday 6-7am and Saturday 6-7am, noon-1pm,
7-8pm and 8-9pm.

Soon the Lenten season will begin, the time in the liturgical calendar during which
we specifically prepare for the joyful celebration of the Easter mysteries. At this time of the year, the
Church asks us to step up our prayer for those who will receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism,
Confirmation and Holy Eucharist) during the Easter Vigil. These individuals are in RCIA processes
throughout the world, in our Diocese, and in our own parish cluster. This year, St. Augustine has six
catechuemens (will be baptized): Cassie Bartel, Emaly Bartel, Olivia Blanton, Joe Capotosta, Stephanie
Mitchan, and Michael Yurich. Those who have previously received the sacrament of Baptism and are
preparing to enter into full communion with the Church are: Christina Hostetler, Patrick Nary, Marlene
Otto, Colton Bartel (RCIC) and Sherri Poling and Michael Walkley from Immaculate Conception.

Please cut this article out and put in on your bulletin board or refrigerator, as I will myself, to remind us to
pray for Cassie, Emaly, Olivia, Joe, Stephanie, Michael, Christina, Pat, Marlene (Mo), Colton, Sherri and
Michael as they continue their journey to share our faith with us.

Karen Bellett, Pastoral Minister/RCIA Coordinator

Stewardship Corner: Dare a man rob God! Yet you are robbing me! And you say, “How do we rob you?”
In tithes and in offerings! Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my
house, and try me in this, says the Lord of hosts: Shall I not open for you the floodgates of heaven, to
pour down blessing upon you without measure? Mal 3:8, 10
