Résumé: Le problème de la qualité des sources à destination des corpus

terminologiques est à l’ordre du jour, car, avant la constitution des bases de données,

nouveaux domaines, sans négliger le rôle de la terminologie respective. Dans ce qui

suit, nous voulons analyser les liens entre le mode dont les standards de qualité

contribuent à la qualité de la terminologie issue de ces sources sur papier ou les livres
électroniques. Parfois ces sites offrent également des traductions des mêmes sources,
alors la question qu’on devrait se poser porte sur les critères de choix des traducteurs,
car la qualité de l’original doit aussi trouver son appui dans la qualité de la traduction,
puis il y a encore d’autres critères, comme, par exemple, l’index de la popularité de
l’édition et de sa traduction et autres. Le binôme constitué du livre original – livre
traduit est analysé dans notre article par le biais d’un corpus terminologique bilingue
construit à partir des livres
dont l’auteur est Paul Ekman. Les deux
livres appartiennent au domaine de la psychologie cognitive, examinant notamment
l’intelligence émotionnelle. Nous avons essayé de les analyser et de venir avec une
appréciation de ces livres en tant que source de terminologie pour le domaine de
spécialité annoncé, partant de l’idée du degré de spécialisation de ces deux ouvrages et
donc de leur destinataire loin d’être homogène. Un autre objectif de notre recherche
porte sur les stratégies appliquées à la traduction des deux textes, et plus concrètement
de la terminologie qui y est utilisée, et nous avons constaté que ces textes s’organisent
autour de quatre possibilités de traduction portant sur différents degrés d’équivalences
qui se constituent suite à l’opération de traduction. Nous avons constaté que sur 124

n’ont pas d’équivalent direct. Les termes qui figurent dans les deux livres constituent
37% de l’ensemble du corpus. En effet, nous nous sommes convaincus de la qualité des
ouvrages consultés, ce que veut dire que les sources proposées par les grands réseaux
de ventes des livres sont fiables et peuvent servir à la constitution des fiches et des
corpus terminologiques.

Abstract: Our article studies the role of books in researching terminology, paying
considerable attention to its feature of being a reliable source of extracting terms from
special languages. Therefore, we are to analyse term extraction from specialised
literature taking into account quality standards of books sold on international sites

possible, their translation. Binomial related original book – translation (book) is to be
assessed in a contrastive analysis of a bilingual corpus considering the books

by Paul Ekman, that deal with cognitive psychology, and namely,

emotional intelligence – one of the specialised domains of our research. Terminology
translation is something we are to pay special attention to, but we will also look at the
translation of the whole text in both books. We are to identify the degree of
“acceptance” for these books as term sources in the aforementioned domain, based on
the levels of specialisation of Maria Teresa Cabré, on the degree of vulgarization and
the criteria for including them in specialised literature, considering the level of
information and contribution to the development of the mentioned domain. As a
result, the books have credits and are deemed as reliable because of terminological
precision and other features of its conceptual system, being often translated for
terminology enrichment purposes in the target language, trying to contribute at the
same time to sharing knowledge to new domains like artificial intelligence. Our
research will also include an analysis of the terminological imperfections, differences
and disparities between the two texts.
