INTRODUCTION
“Winners don’t do different things; they do things differently”

On behalf of the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University as the host of this
festival, it gives us great pleasure to introduce to you Technex, our Annual Technical
Festival to be held from the 3rd to 6th of March, 2011. We hereby, invite you to adorn
the most esteemed position in this extravaganza by partnering with this mega event.

Great ventures need Great Ideas, but in this era of globalization, just a great idea isn’t
enough. The need of the hour is to be able to apply and execute the idea/plan with
proficiency. Technex has been conceptualized with the sole aim of empowering the
students with certain technical, managerial and entrepreneurial qualities which is the need
of the hour, especially in the age of Techno-Managers, apart from providing a solid
platform to present their ideas.

Technex will initiate discussion amongst the corporate leaders, scientists and students so
as to facilitate flow of ideas, business ethics and technological enlightenment. It shall
groom the Techno-Manager who will have an enormous impact in the time to come.
We, at Technex help identify the prodigies in techno managerial arena, stimulate their
nascent prowess and foster their talent to build leaders of tomorrow who will add value to
India Inc.

The Road Ahead…


Technex will be one among the rare college festivals which will facilitate the
development of analytical, critical reasoning, communication and other interpersonal
skills amongst the technocrats of tomorrow.

Being one of its kinds, Technex will attract monumental outside participation from
various professional colleges of engineering and management, including the IIM’s, IIT’s
and NIT’s along with the schools from the length and breadth of the country which
makes it a truly national festival.

In the past, both Technex and Opulence had received immense participation from BHU
itself which has 25,000 students on its roll. The Faculties of Commerce, Economics and
Management Studies participate with considerable zeal and fervor, and needless to say,
the enthusiasm of IT-BHU towards this seminal extravaganza is indubitable. Apart from
that this year Technex is slated to conquer new horizons through inviting participations
from the schools with an aim to nurture kids to become a better Techno-Manager of
tomorrow.

With technological innovation scaling new heights, Technex promises to keep a tab on
the advancements and stay in sync with the mood of the times. With several new events
introduced, and old ones remodeled, Technex ‘11 is all set to break new ground.

Why you should sponsor Technex ’11?


BHU in itself has close to 25,000 students, all residing within the university campus
hence our partners have very high brand visibility in a campus that is huge market in
itself.

Bal Vigyaan – A unique event of its kind attracts participations from the schools all
over the country. It is slated to attract more than 5000 participants this year.

Conclave– A discussion between heads of successful start ups and students will be
organized.

Technex is not just a 4 day fest; a yearlong workshop series Prayaas acts as a prelude
to Technex, thus providing a massive opportunity to our partners to reach out to a
massive audience.

The Technex website expects close to 8000 registrations and 2 lac clicks this year.

The “PRO-NITES” attracts thousands of students. This year pro-nites include hand-
shadow and sand animation, magic show, puppet shows etc.

Ashram (guest lectures by experts from academia and industry) is a hit amongst
students as it is a chance to interact with some of the very best personalities

We present you with the opportunity to reach out to the cream of engineering students
from some of the best colleges in the country namely the IITs, NITs, BITs.Besides, we
also get participation from some of the top MBA schools in the country like the
IIMs,IIFT Delhi Etc.

Our Publicity team travels to colleges in several major cities like Delhi, Mumbai,
Chennai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jaipur, Pune etc to promote our festival and
thereby promoting our partners as well.

 Rights to conduct a presentation of up to 30 min which describes about your firm

which is accessed by participants and other visitors.

What Technex offers HCL

 HCL will be the event sponsor of Ventura , the B-plan competition of


Technex

 HCL also has the right to conduct a lecture series. Dates available are 3rd and
4th March.

SPONSORSHIP RATES

For event sponsorship of Ventura and other mileages the sponsorship rate
is Rs.30,000 only.

Note: All drafts/cheques shall be made in favor of President, IT-Gymkhana,


payable at Varanasi.
