Introduction

The Bachelor of Architecture Science is a five-year college degree for people who
want to pursue an architecture career. The students of Technological Institute of the
Philippines – Manila conduct a research about any improvements of the architecture
department that may add to their skills and experiences as a future architects. The
Department of Architecture emphasizes design education through various experiences
that include learning through designing, collaborative research, and interaction with the
public. Architectural training provides students with knowledge and skills in the
planning, design and construction of structures, taking into account utility, power and
aesthetics values. Building design may help us live better and longer lives instead of
sticking to current behaviors that may not promote healthy and motivating behavior, thus
potentially reducing our chances of being more active and healthy via layout. With health
care facilities such as hospitals and clinics, such an approach takes on even greater
significance. It is a laudable approach to live longer and healthier by better building
layout, but it may not always be affordable. A construction or renovation project requires
money, preparation, collaboration and cooperation throughout the process. If patients and
staff's health is at risk, the stakes for a successful project are even higher.

The department has its own lab and design shop on site, which a workshop
manager oversees in time and Architecture students and Faculty need a services include
two interrelated but distinct endeavors: the planning and design of buildings and spaces,
and the administration of construction contracts on behalf of the users. The Manager shall
endeavor to fix, as far as possible, any need for other materials to be used. He is available
to discuss specific requirements and provide guidance on different working methods.

The Department of Architecture emphasizes design education through various

experiences that include learning through designing, collaborative research, and
interaction with the public and Architecture department of Technological Institute of the
Philippines – Manila contains 1,125 architecture students from 1st year up to 5th year
separating by 25 sections.
Statement of the Problem

In this study, the researchers aim to find answers of the following problems:

 How Light can affect architecture students

 Space
 Is the drafting tables are fit in every architecture students who are using it?
 Is the aura of the environment in the 3 rd floor can affect the architecture students
mood?
 Lockers
 Is it enough to use monoblocks for every architecture students who are using it in
drafting session?

Scope and Limitations

The researchers explored every area only in the architecture department to gather
information and to see if there is any area that need to improve. By using tape measure
the researchers measured everything on the 3rd floor such as drafting tables, monoblocks,
lockers, teachers table, windows, doors, especially the spaces in the hallways, faculty,
and classrooms.

The researchers focus only in the users of architecture department and assess the
most appropriate approaches of collecting user feedback, depending on the time needed,
the user population and other project variables.

Aims and Objectives

This study aims to explore the possibility to renovate the architectural department
of Technological Institute of the Philippines - Manila in the future generation. Light,
furnitures, aura, aesthetic, space, and other are one of the major concerns that the
researches have gathered. Students and faculty have many concerns in terms of the
facilities we have and researchers wants to improve all of these. Also, the researchers
wants to identify types of roles played by architecture students, professors, local
authorities, community or user group members in initiating social architecture in
Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila.

The researchers could help the school in a way that they will no longer need to
seek for the Interior Designer because they can use the designs of the architecture student
of the said school. Overall, researchers wants to discover how different actors involved in
initiating projects conceptualise and communicate their desires and beliefs as social
goals, values or ethical codes.
