This British Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee WEE/17 and is
the English language version of EN ISO 13916:1996 Welding — Guidance on the
measurement of preheating temperature, interpass temperature and preheat
maintenance temperature published by the European Committee for
Standardization (CEN). It is identical with ISO 13916:1996 published by the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
EN ISO 13916 was produced as the result of international discussion in which the
UK took an active part.
It has been assumed in the drafting of this British Standard that the execution of
its provisions is entrusted to appropriately qualified and experienced people.
A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a
contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application.
Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity
from legal obligations.
