In This Version ...................................................................................................................................... 4
Technology Improvements.............................................................................................................. 5
5G-NR support ............................................................................................................................................... 5
• Technology improvements:
o Support added for high priority Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 chipset log
code versions
o NSA Release Cause reason added
o Support for 5GNR in User Defined Scanner Stream tool (FR1 and FR2)
• Platform improvements:
o Further improvements to Message Browser table layout (header and body
text justification)
o Regional Filtering polygon support added for KMZ files, exported from Atoll
radio network planning tool.
5G-NR support
• Support added for the Accuver AOF 5GNR format, with Qualcomm chipset-based
devices and initial support for PCTel scanners.
• User Defined Scanner Streams supported for 5G NR (FR1 and FR2, based on
license entitlement):
• Added LTE and 5GNR events to the Protocol Stack Browser filter option, and the
Message Browser event panel and filter options:
• Support added for the LTE RF Sensor Info message (0x2291) for Samsung Galaxy
S9.
• Support added for the LTE RF TX Swap Info message (0x2292) for Samsung
Galaxy S9.
• Resolved a problem in file load performance when loading certain LTE scanner files
are used with a large cellrefs.
• Support added for new versions of these messages in the Message Browser:
o GNSS Position Report v13 (0x1476)
o LTE LL1 serving cell frame timing v161 (0xB114), setting the attribute
LTE_UE_Timing_Advance
• Support added for the RACH procedure, by setting the following attributes:
o NR_UE_RACH_Attempt
o NR_UE_RACH_Attempt_contention_Type
o NR_UE_RACH_Attempt_SSBID
o NR_UE_RACH_AttemptCount
o NR_UE_RACH_AttemptResult
o NR_UE_RACH_Msg3SubCarrierSpacing
o NR_UE_RACH_OK
o NR_UE_RACH_Fail
o NR_UE_RACH_Procedure_Count
o LTE_Scan_IsNBIoT
o LTE_Scan_EARFCN
o LTE_Scan_PCI_SortedBy_RSRP
o LTE_Scan_RSRP_SortedBy_RSRP
o LTE_Scan_RSRQ_SortedBy_RSRP
o LTE_Scan_RS_CINR_SortedBy_RSRP
o LTE_Scan_Ant[0,1]_RSRP
o LTE_Scan_Ant[0,1]_RSRQ
o LTE_Scan_Ant[0,1]_RSSI
o LTE_Scan_Ant[0,1]_RS_CINR
• Resolved a problem where VoIP_Call_ID was being invalidated too early for
some successful VoIP calls. It is now aligned correctly with
VoIP_Event_CallComplete.
General
• Support added for a maximum number of MIMO layers in NR, from the UL-DCCH
UE-MRDC-Capability message:
o NR_RRC_maxNumberMIMO_LayerPDSCH[]
o NR_RRC_maxNumberMIMO_LayerCB_PUSCH[]
Attributes
• Binning operation of NR_UE_RACH_Attempt_Reason changed to “Mode”.
Format Groups
• Improved the NR_UE_RACH_Attempt format group to be “OUTGOING CALL OK
EVENT”.
Stateforms
• Improvements made to the 5G NR Handset Serving Cell Parameters
stateform, to add Bandwidth PRBs and only report SCell PCI and EARFCN values
when the UE is in CA-Active state.
Message Browser
• Improved message header readability by bottom-left aligning headers and right
aligning the data in message tables:
Regional Filtering
• Support has been added for KMZ polygon definitions exported from the Atoll radio
network planning tool. As with existing MapInfo TAB support, a region definition
XML file must be created in C:\ProgramData\Actix\Analyzer\Bin\Regions (or in the
location specified in Preferences) which references a KMZ file exported from Atoll.
The region layer attribute is then populated with the polygon sets for each value
found in the Transmitter field in the KMZ file, which typically refers to a cell, and
the polygon coordinates are comprised of each polygon in the set for that cell.
Once defined, the region layer attribute can be used within the stream for ad-hoc
analysis or combined into a dimension of a Crosstab query for polygon-based
analysis or site acceptance reporting.
Note that only the outerBoundaryIs polygon coordinates are supported, there is
no support in Analyzer for overlapping/wholly contained polygons, so the
innerBoundaryIs polygon coordinates are ignored.
Following the end of June 2020, support for Actix Analyzer running on Windows 7
shall be deprecated and support cases shall no longer be accepted if they relate to
issues arising from these OS versions.
