Platform Improvements

Message Browser
• Improved message header readability by bottom-left aligning headers and right
aligning the data in message tables:

Regional Filtering
• Support has been added for KMZ polygon definitions exported from the Atoll radio
network planning tool. As with existing MapInfo TAB support, a region definition
XML file must be created in C:\ProgramData\Actix\Analyzer\Bin\Regions (or in the
location specified in Preferences) which references a KMZ file exported from Atoll.

The region layer attribute is then populated with the polygon sets for each value
found in the Transmitter field in the KMZ file, which typically refers to a cell, and
the polygon coordinates are comprised of each polygon in the set for that cell.

Once defined, the region layer attribute can be used within the stream for ad-hoc
analysis or combined into a dimension of a Crosstab query for polygon-based
analysis or site acceptance reporting.

Note that only the outerBoundaryIs polygon coordinates are supported, there is
no support in Analyzer for overlapping/wholly contained polygons, so the
innerBoundaryIs polygon coordinates are ignored.

User Defined Scanner Streams
• Support has been added for UDSS with 5G NR_ARFCN ranges. The creation of the
stream attributes is also controlled by the general entitlement granted by the
platform license; i.e. the FR2 spectrum will only be decoded if the 5GNR platform
license is enabled.

Documentation Changes
• Updates made to the online help:
o Regarding Regional Filtering and Analysis, restructured the help for
most sections, and added description of support for KMZ polygons exported
from the Atoll radio network planning tool:

o Regarding Spotlight project creation, updated screenshot and body text to

show the Description field for a project:

Limitations, Known Issues and Obsolescence

Changes to 5GNR Scanned CINR Measurements

• Due to a change in the TEMS TRR API 21.2, the scanner measurement NR SS
Scanned CINR is no longer available. Actix Analyzer is now setting attribute
NR_Scan_SS_CINR_SortedBy_RSRP with the values received from the TRR
API information element NR Scanned SSB SINR.

End of Life of 32-bit support

• Advance notice is given that by the end of December 2019, support for 32-bit
Actix Analyzer shall be deprecated.

End of Life of WiMAX support

• Advance notice is given that by the end of January 2020, support for the WiMAX
technology in Actix Analyzer shall be deprecated.

End of Life of Windows 7 support

• Advance notice is given that from the end of December 2019, support for Actix
Analyzer running on Windows 7 will be reduced to “on-demand”, meaning that
Actix Analyzer shall not be proactively tested on Windows 7, and shall be
supported by Amdocs on a best-effort basis following Windows 7 being withdrawn
from Microsoft’s Windows Update program on 14th January 2020.

Following the end of June 2020, support for Actix Analyzer running on Windows 7
shall be deprecated and support cases shall no longer be accepted if they relate to
issues arising from these OS versions.
