educating learning handle. The government anticipates that those endeavors can make the
teaching-learning handle run well and increment students' accomplishments. (Languages, 2011)

and curiously, counting educating English. English could be an outside dialect that ought to be
discovered by Indonesian students. English education emphasizes the advancement of dialect

Indonesian understudies should learn English through the four aptitudes' dominance. Be that as it
may, it isn't simple to ace it since they experience numerous challenges. Those challenges show
up since of multiple causes. English is difficult to learn in a few cases since it has diverse
linguistic structures from Bahasa Indonesia or students' mother tongue. Subsequently, the

These conditions bring effects to the students. For example, the students have low motivation
and get bored in learning English. Besides, they have low achievement in all English skills,
including listening skills. There is no positive effect on the students' listening skills, although
they often listen to their explanations. It is because the teachers seldom use English in the
teaching-learning process.

The English teachers in MTs Nidzamiyah Ploso do not face any problem related to the
provided technology, including in Grade VII. There are a computer and LCD in each class in
Grade VII. However, most English teachers still face difficulties finding the English interactive
learning media appropriate to their needs. Moreover, MTs Nidzamiyah does not have any
English interactive learning media.

Therefore, the researcher is interested in developing English interactive learning media


for students at Grade VII in MTs Nidzamiyah Ploso as supporting media in the teaching-learning
process.

B. Identification of the Problem

Who cannot separate the teaching-learning process from five components? Those
components are the students, teachers, materials, methods, and media. In expansion, those
components bring impacts to the viability of teaching-learning handle.

1. Students

Students have diverse intrigued, capacity, and behavior. These will influence their
accomplishment in learning English. There are a few variables that impact the understudies
within the classroom. Inspiration is the actual figure within the learning handle within the
school. The understudies who have tall inspiration will be dynamic, but the understudies
who have moo inspiration will be inactive and aggravate the others. Therefore, utilizing the
curious media in learning English will be one of the intelligent arrangements for this issue.
One of the exciting media is the use of computers within the classroom. Computer as the
intuitively learning medium can spur the understudies to memorize English effectively and
interests. Thus, it can move forward the students' accomplishments.

2. Teacher

C. Limitation of the Problem

There are many problems in the teaching-learning process. They are related to the
students, teachers, materials, methods, and media. However, this study would focus on
developing English interactive learning media for students in Grade VII semester one because
English interactive learning media facilitates and motivates students to learn English. Besides,
the English teachers will have variation in teaching.

The researcher takes only the students of class VII of MTs Nidzamiyah as the study
subjects because they already have their notebook that What can use to implement English
interactive learning media. Moreover, the school provides a computer and LCD in Grade VII as
supporting facilities in the teaching-learning process.

D. Formulation of the Problem


The problems formulated in the following questions:
1. What are the effective design criteria of English interactive learning media for students at
grade VII of MTs Nidzamiyah Ploso?
2. What is the practical design of English interactive learning media for students at grade VII of
MTs Nidzamiyah Ploso?

E. Objectives of the Research


The objectives of this study are as follows:
1. To find out the criteria of the practical design of English interactive learning media for
students at grade VII of MTs Nidzamiyah Ploso
2. To develop the practical design of English interactive learning media for students at
grade VII of MTs Nidzamiyah Ploso

F. Significances of the Research


That the result of this study would give some contributions to:
1. the English teachers, it will enable them to teach English easily and interestingly
2. the researcher herself, it can increase knowledge and experience in preparing herself as a
teacher who uses technology (computer-based) as media in teaching English
3. students, it can increase the students' motivation to learn English easier by using
interactive learning media
