Design Comments:-
- Compression reinforcement added at left support hinge location for ductility in accordance with BS8110 cl.3.2.2.1(b) & cl.4.2.3.1(c). Asc = 388.96mm2 @
200mm
- Before adding compression reinforcement to solve a ductility problem RAPT has noticed that the ductility problem was initially caused by a low value of
effective depth as the reinforcement and/ or tendons are a long way from the tension face. Adding steel near the tension face has removed the ductility
problem.

Design Comments:-
- SUPPORT Reinforcing Bar Spacing - Column Grid 1 - Smallest preferred reinforcement size requires bar spacing larger than maximum. It will be
necessary to use smaller bars than the preferred minimum size or a larger area of reinforcement than is required by design.

calculated.
