Gender Distribution

5- Calculate dependency ratio of

1) Each family
2) All surveyed families
Dependency ratio of each family

Formula:

Population under 15 + population over 65 x 100

Population between 16-64

Family A = 3+0/2 x100 = 150 %

Family B = 3+0/2 x100 = 150 %

Family C = 3+0/2 x100 = 150 %

Family D = 3+1/3 x100 = 133.3 %

Family E = 2+0/2 x100 = 100 %

Family F = 3+0/2 x100 = 150 %

Family G = 1+0/6 x100 = 16.67 %

Family H = 1+1/3 x100 = 66.67 %

Family I = 5+0/2 x100 = 250 %

Family J = 3+1/2 x100 = 200 %

Total dependence2 26
x 100 = 115.23%

Of all families

Interpretation:

Dependency ratio in family I & J are high & its low in G Total dependency ratio
is 115.23%. There are more dependent people than economically active people
in this population increase in dependency ratio can slow economic growths.

6- Calculate utilization rate of contraceptive by surveyed families

Utilization rate for contraception.

No. of women who used contraception x 100 women of reproductive age group

8-Calculate overall infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate of all
surveyed families
