3.TERMINOLOGY
A dictionary (glossary) of the main terms and their definitions used in the R&D activities is consultable internally via
the DESP intranet or by clicking on the following link: SCPO_MGPJ07_0116.
3.1.DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms are defined:
Test Report (RE) Document established after verification and validation actions on a system, according to a
PIV.
Equivalent to a verification datasheet or a test datasheet.
Measurement Report Document established after a measurement service, or an inquiry service, or a dimensional
(RM) / non-dimensional expertise service that materializes all the quantity values assigned to a
measurand.
Verification Report Document established after verification service, aimed to make a conformity / non
(CV) conformity judgment relative to established specifications.
Calibration Document established after a calibration service, aimed to establish a relationship between
Certificate (CE) the quantity values provided by measurement standards and corresponding indications.
Test procedure In this standard, the following are called "Test procedures”:
test procedures (that apply to parts or assemblies),
test methods (that apply to matters or materials).
Note: Inside PSA walls, test procedures and test methods shall respectively conform to the
A10 0153 and A10 0170 internal standards.
Test equipment In this standard, the following are called "Test equipments”:
test benches,
portable measuring equipments that are qualified as "off-bench".
Plan of Integration Document that indicates :
and Validation
the actions and tasks planned for the verification & validation activities ,
the verification results to be expected,
the technical and human resources to be anticipated,
the verification-conditions and verification-procedures to be followed, required for the
engineering, the integration of a system's components and the validation relative to the
system’s specifications. Refers to integration-procedures, and checking/validation-
procedures.
3.2.ABBREVIATIONS
For the needs of this standard, the following acronyms are used:
GEMME Management of the Measuring Equipments and of the Test Equipments (in French: “Gestion des
Equipements de Mesure et des Moyens d'Essais”)
PIV Plan of Integration and Validation
VIN Vehicle Identification Number
RE Test Report (in French: “Rapport d’Essai”)
RM Measurement Report (in French: “Rapport de Mesure”)
CE Calibration Certificate (in French : « Certificat d’Etalonnage »).
CV Verification Report (in French : « Constat de Vérification »).
4.REALIZATION
4.1. PREAMBLE
A measurement or test report should be written by respecting the writing rules describe in this standard. See
Examples of model forms in Annexes 1, 2 and 3.
The document is composed of:
a first page that introduces some defined items (See § 4.2.1),
a document body that includes a minimum of information clearly identified (See § 4.2.2).
Nota : Laboratories are recommended to insert a warning note stating that the reproduction of the emitted document
can only be in its integral form.
Example: REPRODUCTION OF THIS CERTIFICATE IS AUTHORIZED EXCLUSIVELY AS A COMPLETE
PHOTOGRAPHIC FACSIMILE.
Conclusion:
The author of the report performs an analysis of the test that has been carried out. He indicates the possible
comments, suggestions, and improvements.
When the test request specifies some requirements to be fulfilled, the author pronounces the compliance or
non compliance of the results in relation to these requirements.
Conclusions can include some opinions and interpretations
References of the author and the approving peaple: name, signature and date.
The approval date is the publication date. Electronic validation is acceptable.
4.2.2.DOCUMENT BODY
The entire document body is made up of paragraphs entirely left up to the author.
However, the following information shall imperatively be included in these paragraphs:
DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT TO BE MEASURED OR TESTED :
Either the description, the condition and the clear identification (brand, silhouette, VIN, engine, part number,
firmware reference, software of the calibrated/verified equipment, production stage, supplier ...).
Or the external and/or internal references, including the index if present (drawing number, drawing index,
CAD file number ...).
When they are known, indicate the conditions for preparing the sample (and the accessories) and the
sampling rules (or reference to the documents that define them).
DESCRIPTION OF THE MEASURING OR TEST EQUIPMENT
Name and reference of the test benches and/or of the measuring equipments used during the test. The
reference (identification number) should ensure the traceability of the test equipments and/or of the
measuring equipments.
Example : Weighing scales Sartorius 50g, identification number DPTABP000097
DESCRIPTION OF THE MEASUREMENT AND ITS FULFILLMENT CONDITIONS
References of the test procedure (with its version index) or description of the operating procedure of the test if
the procedure is not formalized. Indicate, if necessary, the values of the installation parameters for the test.
If this is not indicated in the test procedure, references of all the other documents used to carry out the tests
(including the regulations/standards).
Every variances encountered during the fulfillment of the test procedure, complementary information or
comments about the procedure
Beginning date of the measurement/test and ending date of the measurement/test.
Location of the measurement/test.
Name of the persons having performed each measurement/test.
Conditions of the measurement/test (range of temperature, hygrometry range, etc.), if required by the
procedure or if they have any influence on the results. It concerns the observed (or guaranteed) conditions
during the test, or a reminder of the ambient conditions required by the procedure(s)/standard(s)/
regulation(s).
Reminder of the expected specifications applied to the object submitted to the measurement/test, if they exist:
criteria to be respected for the measured/observed parameters (characteristics to be observed and their
specification limits).
All information that should be indicated within the framework of the measurement/test (photos, diagrams,
etc.).
Softwares used: name of the softwares used (acquisition and/or post-processing softwares) and their
corresponding release number.
