3.5 Comparing social functions, text structure, and linguistic elements of some special texts in the form
of greeting cards, with giving and requesting information related to special days, according to the
context of their use.
3.5.1 Identify short functional text structures about greeting card.
3.5.2 Illustrate the short functional text about greeting cards according to their structure and usage.
4.5 Compile special texts in the form of greeting cards, very short and simple, related to special days by
paying attention to social functions, text structure, and linguistic elements, correctly and in context.
4.5.1 Classify their short functional texts about simple greeting cards that are good, interesting and
appropriate to the type of use.
4.5.2 Make a short functional text about a good and attractive greeting card.
4.5.3 Presents functional texts about their own greeting cards

Teacher asks the students everything that related to the topic (a perception)

Teacher shows the example of greeting card on power point in attachment 1

The teacher asks students to identify and read together the greeting card on power

The students ask about the materials in attachment 2 that has been shown by the

 Generic structure:
- Purpose : To whom the remarks are sent (Dear Lina)
- Name of product : Consist of interesting words added with images, quotes and expressions (Happy birthday,
I’m so happy for you!)
- User : Write the sender's name on the greeting card (From: Siti)
