14. Flatten out and fold with right sides together.
Sew tail shape and cut out 0.6cm (¼”) from stitching (diagram K).
Turn to right side. Stuff. Turn in raw edge.

15. Ears: Decide on ear type – considering dog’s character and how much sock fabric you have left.
Option 1. (diagram Option 1) Turn toe piece inside out, sew and cut as shown (diagram L).
Turn to right side. Turn under raw edge. Position then pin. Slipstitch in place.
Option 2. (diagram Option 2) These can be made with a toe piece as option 1 but if this isn’t
suitable….. Cut 4 triangles of sock fabric, 2 for each ear. Right sides together sew two
sides. Then turn up raw edge and slipstitch (diagram M). Cut off top point, then turn
to right side. Position, then slipstitch in place (diagram N).

Option 3. (diagram Option 3) Cut 4 long ear shapes, 2 for each ear. With right sides together, sew,
leaving an opening at the top (diagram O). Turn out to right side. Turn in raw edge.
Position, pin and slipstitch in place.
16. Eyes and nose: using pins, position buttons for eyes and nose. Sew in place.
