Wicca

Wicca is a neopagan religion having to do with witchcraft and magic. It was first

referred to as the witch cult, in the 1950’s in England, then Wica, and then to the

modern day Wicca. It was in England that Wicca became very popular, but

before that was shunned as a Sadistic religion. These were the times when

‘witches’ were being burned in Salem, many of them were thought to be

associated with Wiccans.

The Pentagram, one of the signs of the Wicca, is

also very often referred to as a Sadistic and

Malignant symbol. Many Wiccans were identified

by the markings or jewellery they wore depicting

the Pentagram, seen right.

Wicca is a Duotheistic, Messianic religion, meaning they worship two gods,

known as the Triple Goddess and her consort, the Horned God. These further

manifest themselves into lesser beings and Gods, making Wicca a cross between

Duo and Poly-theistic.

The Wiccans center themselves around nature, and the Idea that to advance

spiritually, one must live lives many times over. But mainly they believe that

‘once a witch, always a witch,’ meaning reincarnation can happen many times

over in the same body.

Wicca is a Matriarchal religion, meaning it’s dominated by women, though men

play a key part as well. The Triple Goddess is probably one of the Highest

honoured in the Wicca religion, as she represents the fertility and livelihood of

her people.
