C. Manual Installation of the game for v1.4.0
Note 1: Before you start following this guide, download the zip file first https://autopatchhk.yuanshen.
com/client_app/pc_mihoyo/20210317_67c8f1002bb26672/GenshinImpact_1.4.0.zip .
Note 2: Use 7Zip if you don't have WinRar yet but if you have WinRar, you can use it, or your preferred decompression tool.
Note 3: Make a backup copy of GenshinImpact_1.4.0.zip, and delete it after you have installed and run the game successfully.
Note 4: If you happened to encounter Failed to Verify Files error, and was redirected here to do the Manual Installation,
Download the Zip file first, then after that, proceed to Instruction 4 of this guide.
Instructions:
1. Download the Latest Installer from the website (If happens you haven't downloaded it yet) https://genshin.mihoyo.com/en/download, then install the
Launcher. Default Launcher location is at C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact
2. After that, open the Launcher, and it will give you an option where to install the Game (Game Install Location will follow your Launcher Location
preference, otherwise, Default Location will be at C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game
3. Click Get Game/Update in the launcher and let it download for a few moments (make it 10-20 seconds), after that, close the launcher, and make sure
it's not running in the taskbar.
4. Go to C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game (or wherever you installed the game) and delete the file GenshinImpact_1.4.0.
zip_tmp, then clear out your recycle bin to retrieve precious space.
5. Copy the downloaded GenshinImpact_1.4.0.zip to C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game (or wherever you installed the game)
6. Right Click GenshinImpact_1.4.0.zip, select Properties, then look for This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help this
computer, click Unblock, then Apply. (If there's no Unblock option in the zip file, proceed to Instruction Number 7)
7. Open Windows Icon, type 7Zip or WinRar, right click on the app and select Run as Administrator
8. On 7Zip/WinRar, go to C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game (or wherever you installed the game), then you will see the Zip
File in there. For 7Zip and Winrar, they have different options:
- 7Zip: Right Click GenshinImpact_1.4.0.zip, select 7Zip, then select Extract Here, and it will start to extract
- WinRar: Right Click GenshinImpact_1.4.0.zip, select Extract to a specified folder, put in the destination C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact
Game (or wherever you installed the game), then press Ok
9. After extracting (Assuming there are no errors) check if there's a config file inside, no matter if it exists or not, do this:
- Open Windows Icon, type Notepad, right click on the app and select Run as Administrator
- Then copy this one inside the notepad that you opened:

- After that, save it on C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game (or wherever you installed the game) and set the following:
File name: config.ini
Save as type: All Files
- If it prompts that The config.ini exists. Do you want to replace it?, just click Yes
10. After that, run the Launcher again, and if the steps are followed correctly, you will see the Launch Button
11. Run the Game
D. Only other known solution is to redownload the game. Make sure to do a full uninstall, see the PC how-tos sheet below for instructions
- Go to game install directory: "C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game\"
- Unzip "1.3.2_1.4.0_diff_1P539V4J.zip" (replace any files it prompts you on)
- Launch the game using "GenshinImpact.exe"
A. Delete "C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game\GenshinImpact.exe" then restore it by pressing Ctrl + Z, or restoring from recycle
bin
B. Under "C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact", delete the "Genshin.exe" file and "Genshin_Data" folders Warning, may prompt you to reinstall, attempt

8. Launch the game. If the error is gone, great. If it's still not gone, try deleting the mihoyo folder in \Appdata\Local

F. If all else fails, a reinstall might work. For instructions on how to do a full uninstall, see the PC how-tos sheet below

Game crashes A. In the game launcher, hold shift, then click launch and wait for the "Genshin Impact Configuration" pop up to show up. You can let go after the pop up
immediately on launch shows up. Set the screen resolution to the lowest value, check "Windowed", and set graphics quality to "Fastest", then adjust values once you're in-game.

B. Another way to get the "Genshin Impact Configuration" pop up to show up, right click on the Genshim Impact shortcut > Properties > Shortcut and add
this text to the Target: -show-screen-selector, it should look like this:

C. Right click the game shortcut, select "Run as administrator"

Note: This will not work if you set your graphics settings too high in-game.

Settings (or: Graphics Card Properties > Graphics Card Performance > AMD Radeon Dual Graphics > Use AMD Radeon Dual Graphics).
* Select Genshin Impact from the program list. (If the game is not in the list, click "Add Program", and select the Genshin Impact executable file (.exe) in its

* In the "Graphics Card Settings" column, set "High Performance" or "Highest Performance" to the game.

E. For Intel built-in graphics card: Unfortunately these seem to crash frequently. Many people have the same issue, no great solutions, see the row below

Fully uninstall the game 1. Uninstall the game normally through Programs and Features

2. (Use Windows Key + R, then enter the paths below in the box to go straight to them):
* Go to: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\miHoYo then delete: Genshin Impact folder.
* Go to: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\miHoYo then delete Genshin Impact folder.
* Go to: C:\Program Files\ then delete the Genshin Impact folder. (If you installed elsewhere, delete the folder you installed it to instead).

3. (Optional) Delete the registry entries:

* Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\miHoYo\Genshin Impact
* Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\miHoYo\Genshin Impact Beta

How to reset ALL settings PLEASE READ - Your login information will be cleared when you do this. You'll need to make sure you remember your username/email &

mode wait for a configuration window to show up. Once the pop-up appears, you can let go. Check "Windowed" in there.

B. If you want a shortcut to borderless windowed mode, create a normal shortcut to GenshinImpact.exe (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Genshin
Impact\Genshin Impact Game\GenshinImpact.exe" by default). Right click the shortcut and at the end of the "Target" field, add a space then -screen-
fullscreen 0 -popupwindow

Optionally, you can add a specific resolution too, e.g. add another space then -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080 after that.

Android - Genshin Impact 31-4302 may occur on new gen Huawei phones a lot because of how the recently released Huawei phones are programmed, the fact that they've cut
encountered a problem ties to google play is also another factor. Google play services functions have been completely disabled for some but for others they are lucky to
loading game data have it. Regardless, the file system of newer huawei phones are generally programmed a bit different from other phones, I don't wanna go to specifics but
Error 31-4302 it basically decompresses files using a diff. method than usual. Hence, it may affect the decompression of game files of Genshin Impact.

1. Go to this directory: Internal Storage > Android > data > com.miHoYo.GenshinImpact
2. Copy the folder named "com.miHoYo.GenshinImpact" and paste it somewhere else.
3. Uninstall Genshin Impact. Install either Tap Tap Global or QooApp, and download genshin impact from that source.
4. Now after downloading, DO NOT OPEN THE GAME. Instead, go to the "com.miHoYo.GenshinImpact" copy you made.
5. Hold tap on that folder, press on "Move". Now navigate back to Internal Storage > Android > data and paste it there.
6. Open the game, and it should work now!

B. Download TapTap here: https://www.tap.io/mobile

1. You'll have a com.taptap.global_#.#.#-rel.######_seogoogle.apk inside the download folder( # may vary depending on the version TapTap is on
currently )
2. Click the TapTap apk and click install ( it'll warn you about installing apks from third party sources just choose install )
3. Once installed: Go to TapTap and search for Genshin Impact, open the page and click Download.

Glitching/Bugging out
1. Press and hold the [PS] button on your controller.
2. Turn off the PS4 with Turn Off PS4 and not "Enter Rest Mode."
3. Make sure the light goes out on the console and then unplug its power cable and wait for 10 seconds.
4. Plug back the Console, turn it on, login back to the game and check.

1. Go to Settings then Network then Set Up Internet Connection
2. Select Wifi or LAN (Whichever you use)
3. Select Custom
4. Set IP Address Settings to Automatic
5. Set DHCP Host Name to Do Not Specify
6. Set DNS Settings to Manual
7. Set Primary DNS to: 1.1.1.1 (or 8.8.8.8 if you wish to use Google's)
8. Set Secondary DNS to: 1.0.0.1 (or 8.8.4.4 if you wish to use Google's)
9. Set MTU Settings to Automatic
10. Set Proxy Server to Do Not Use
