Afghanistan Telecom Market Share Our Market Share

We will serve as distributors for SALAAM Products. Our
initial focus is to capture Over Afghanistan regions however,
our long-term goal is to expand our business operations and
be a strategic distributing partner to SALAAM Products all
over Afghanistan. Assuming SALAAM has 7 regional
segments, SALAAM market share will be 11% (335 Million
AFN) of Afghanistan Telecom Market Share total

Competitive Analysis
This analysis illustrates the five competitive forces that
shape the telecom sector and will help in understanding our company position in the market.

A. Degree of Competition in the industry: The importance of this force is the number of competitors and
their ability to threaten our company. Theoretically, the larger the number of competitors, along with the
number of equivalent products and services they offer, the greater will be the power of that particular
company. Considering the recent growth in the telecom industry, there is very intense competition within
industry. SALAAM shall keep up with the innovation, marketing, and promoting activities in order to survive in
the market. Working as distributor for SALAAM, controlling the degree of competition within the telecom

sector between Network Operator is beyond our limit, however indirectly our performance will be affected if
the competitors take over and SALAAM loses its market share.
B. Threat of New Entrants: there is very limited risk of new entrant both in term of new Network Operator
and Distributing partner with SALAAM . Since becoming a distributing partner requires massive investment
and experienced network channels, our company is not threatened by new entrants.
C. Bargaining Power of Supplier: This force addresses how easily SALAAM can drive up the price of
products and services which can be affected by the number of Network Operators available in the industry.
Working as distributing partner, we will strive in achieving SALAAM business goals and objective. To this end,
there is zero threat to our company regarding this force.
D. Bargaining Power of Customer: This specifically deals with the bargaining power of SALAAM customers.
It is calculated by how many buyers or customers, SALAAM has, and how significant the customers are, and
how much it would cost a customer to switch from SALAAM to any other Network Operator. Since there is a
very intense competition within the sector between Network Operator Companies, We, as distributing
partner, will strive to deliver SALAAM Products to each district and villages to make sure the products and
services are easily available to every person within our operating region. Customers require convenience in
order not to switch to other company. We will put customer convenience at our highest priority. To achieve
this goal, we will hire qualified distributing Distributors Authorized Shops to make sure our customers have
access to SALAAM products no matter where they live.
E. Threat of Substitutes: Other Network operator products can pose a threat. At the moment, the market is
well captured by many network operators. Despite innovation and affordable products, if the products are not
made easily accessible, SALAAM will lose its market share. This shows the degree of threat associated with
substitutes available for SALAAM Products.

SWOT Analysis
This analysis is conducted to understand the business strengths and weaknesses in order to target
opportunities and eliminate potential threats.

business partners since 2014. In addition, the AHILSC COMPANY is achieving its targets quite handsomely. Both the
organizations are grasping the benefits of goods business relationships.

The business environment in Afghanistan is stabilizing slowly and gradually. All cellular companies expending its
operations to remote areas and unsatisfied customers base in Afghanistan. New and better arrangements are
made between cellular companies and other stakeholders in supply chain through to the customer base.
