Hinweis:
Der Umrüstsatz ist nicht geeignet für Geräte mit einer Adapterplatine LP 913 auf dem Motherboard, wie sie
beim Umbau einer 4008/E auf 4008H bzw. einer 4008B auf 4008S verwendet wurde.
Bei diesen Geräten muss das Motherboard (LP 630) gewechselt werden.
Mit Bestellung unter der alten Art.-Nr. wird auch das Kabel für das Netzteil mitgeliefert.

Umbauanleitung

1. Netzteil
1.1. Netzteil ausbauen.

1.2. Steuerplatine (LP 639 bei 4008/E/H; LP 647 bei 4008B/S) aus dem Platinenstecker der LP 638 lösen und aus
der Kartenführung nehmen.

1.3. Das vorhandene 6-polige Versorgungskabel auslöten und restliches Lötzinn von den Lötaugen und
Durchkontaktierungen entfernen.

1.4. Das neue Versorgungskabel [Pos.01] M35235 (Bild 5 + 6 + 10) einlöten.

Hinweis: Die beiden zusammengehörenden Adern sind mit einem Kabelbinder zusammengebunden.
Am Kabel sind für +5V (blau; Pins B1 und B2) und DGND (schwarz; Pins A1 und A2) jeweils zwei Adern
vorhanden2) . Für eine LP 639 (LP 647) mit einem Layout <’LP 639 K’ (<’LP 647 K’) müssen beide Adern
miteinander verbunden werden (Bild 1 – 4). Hierzu
• die blaue Ader des Pins B1 um 20mm kürzen und mit einem Kabelverbinder [Pos.03] mit der blauen
Ader des Pins B2 verbinden.
• Die schwarze Ader des Pins A1 um 40mm kürzen und mit einem Kabelverbinder [Pos.03] mit der
schwarzen Ader des Pins A2 verbinden.

Hilfssteckdose zum Lift (nur bei Option ‚4008 HDF’).

Schutzleiterverbindung zum Wasserteil;
Masseverbindung zur Monitorschiene;
Hilfssteckdose zum Lift (nur bei Option ‚4008 HDF’).

2. Monitor
2.1. Motherboard LP 630 ausbauen.

2.2. Die 6-polige Buchse XPWR (auch XP1) auslöten.

Hierzu gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:
• Das Lötzinn der einzelnen Kontakte erhitzen und diese dabei mit der Spitze des Lötkolbens aus der
Platine drücken oder
• Einen Kontakt mit einer Spitzzange in der Buchse greifen, das Lötzinn erhitzen und den Kontakt
herausziehen.
Verbliebene Lötzinnreste aus den Durchkontaktierungen entfernen.

2.3. Das Kabel M35236 [Pos.02] einlöten (Bild 7 + 8)

Am Kabel sind für +5V (blau; Pins B1 und B2) und DGND (schwarz; Pins A1 und A2) jeweils zwei Adern
vorhanden2) . Für eine LP 630 mit einem Layout <’LP 630 L’ müssen beide Adern miteinander verbunden werden
(Bild 1 – 4). Hierzu
• die blaue Ader des Pins B1 um 20mm kürzen und mit einem Kabelverbinder [Pos.03] mit der blauen
Ader des Pins B2 verbinden.
• Die schwarze Ader des Pins A1 um 40mm kürzen und mit einem Kabelverbinder [Pos.03] mit der
schwarzen Ader des Pins A2 verbinden.

2.4. Motherboard LP 630 einbauen.

2.5. Die beiden Kabel verbinden und mit einem Drehverschluss [Pos.04] an der Monitorseitenwand
fixieren (Bild 9).

2.6. Funktionstest durchführen!

Note:
This Retrofit kit is not right for systems with an adapter board LP 913 on the motherboard, how it has been
used for the conversion of a 4008/E to 4008H or a 4008B to 4008S.
At this systems the motherboard (LP 630) have to be changed.
The cable of the power supply will be delivered with the motherboard, if the motherboard will be ordered under
old part-no.

Mounting instruction

1. Power Supply
1.1. Remove the power supply

1.2. Disconnect the control board (P.C.B. LP 639 in 4008E/H, P.C.B. LP 647 in 4008B/S) from the board
connector of the P.C.B. LP 638 and remove it from the P.C.B. holder.

1.3. Unsolder the existing 6-wire supply cable and remove the rest of the tin solder from the solder pads and
through-plating.

1.4. Solder the new supply cable [pos.01] M35235 (Fig. 5 + 6 + 10).
Note: The two wires which belong together are tied together.
There are two wires each for +5V (blue; pins B1 and B2) and for DGND (black; pins A1 and A2) on the cable2) .
For a P.C.B. LP 639 (LP 647) with layout <’LP 639 K’ (<’LP 647 K’) the two wires have to be connected (Fig. 1
– 4). Proceed as follows:
• shorten the blue wire of pin B1 by 20mm and connect it to the blue wire of pin B2 with a cable
connector [Pos.03].
• shorten the black wire of pin A1 by 40mm and connect it to the black wire of pin A2 with a cable
connector [Pos.03].

1.5. Mount the power supply (At 4008B/S: Connect the ground to the cover!).
Reconnect
• 4008E/H: heater rod;
auxiliary socket to the lift (only for ‚4008 HDF’ option).
• 4008B/S: heater rod;
protective earth for the hydraulic unit;
ground wire to the monitor rail;
auxiliary socket to the lift (only for ‚4008 HDF’ option).

2. Monitor
2.1. Remove the motherboard LP 630

2.2. Remove the 6 pin socket XPWR (also XP1).

This can be done in two ways:
• Heat the solder of every single pin, pushing it simultaneously through the board with the tip of the
soldering iron. or
• Grasp one pin in the socket with long-nose pliers, heat the solder and pull out the pin.
Remove the rest of the tin solder from the solder pads and through-plating.

2.3. Solder cable M35236 [pos.02] (Fig. 7 + 8)

There are two wires each for +5V (blue; pins B1 and B2) and for DGND (black; pins A1 and A2) on the cable2) .
For a P.C.B. LP 630 with layout <’LP 630 L’ the two wires have to be connected (Fig. 1 – 4).
Proceed as follows:
• shorten the blue wire of pin B1 by 20mm and connect it to the blue wire of pin B2 with a cable connector
[Pos.03].
• shorten the black wire of pin A1 by 40mm and connect it to the black wire of pin A2 with a cable
connector [Pos.03].

2.4. Mount motherboard LP 630

2.5. Interconnect the two cables and secure them on the monitor side panel with the twist fastener [fig.9].

2.6. Perform a functional check!
