Activity 2. I am a Poet!
Morality Is The Best!

Without morality social life is nearly impossible.

People care about what others think of them. Reputation and social censure

Some people care about doing the right thing. Conscience

Some people care about what will happen after death, to their soul or spirit.
For many religions there is an afterlife that involves
A person’s being rewarded or Punished for what they have done.
Without such rules people would not be able
To live amongst other humans. People could not make plans,

Could not leave their belongings behind them wherever they went.
We would not know who to trust and what to expect from others.
Civilized, social life would not be possible.

So, that is out of the way.

We know that we should be moral
And so should others and without some sense of morality
It would be very difficult if not impossible for large numbers
Of humans to be living with one another.

B. Essay
1. How should you answer the question: Why do we want to be moral?
I simply answer this, because it's good for society as a whole. As
social creatures, sometimes highly specialized especially in modern society,
we're all dependent on each other to make sure we all survive. Someone who
acts without regard for the interests of others is a liability in a social species and
at the very least needs to be watched to prevent them from damaging others, if
not outright quarantined.

2. What is the place of ethics in the life of the contemporary man?

In their day-to-day lives, everyone has a system for making choices.
Not every decision is based on a serious moral dilemma; in fact, most of our decisions
are made almost immediately, even without our knowledge.
Ethics is a branch of philosophy concerned with the distinction between right and wrong
action, which arises in even the simplest of cases.

3. Does ethics have the same meaning with morality? Why?

I think not, because ethics is concerned with "ought-ness," while morality
is concerned with "is-ness."Ethics, also known as ethos, is a moral code that must be
followed. It is concerned with what one should do.
Morality is a term that defines what a person is actually doing.
