STEP 2: STEP 3:
The Mode menu: Flowsheeting Click and drag to create the desired process. Red arrow = Feed, Purple = Product
or Simulating

When creating your first

project, choose flowsheet

STEP 4: STEP 5:
Create a component list. Thermodynamics and ChemCad
First choose Simulation from the Mode menu, then Component List from the
ThermoPhysical menu. Find and add the desired components. Use the K-value wizard to help determine suitable physical-chemical data.
Choose K-value wizard from the ThermoPhysical menu.

STEP 6: Running the Show

First define feed-stream and unit operation’s performance, then run.

STEP 7: Rigorous Calculations

Now we have completed short-cut calculations, this is what can be done

by hand. Rigorous calculations give you more accurate results. We base
them on the results we got from the short-cut runs.
Start by extending the flowsheet with the rigorous towers.

STEP 8: Define Streams and Convergence Parameters

5
STEP 9: Repeat for second column and run

If reasonable indata is provided, columns will converge and you can view the
calculated results by right-clicking the column and choosing Edit Unit Op Data.

STEP 10: Presenting Results in ChemCad

ChemCad offers many possibilities for presenting results.

Interesting Plots
Results can be presented as figures or plots.
