GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualifications as on

1.2.2011.

2. Candidates fulfilling the prescribed qualification and experience will have

to appear for a written test and/or viva-voce at Mumbai.

3. Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate
for being called for written test/interview.

4. If the number of applications received for any post is large, the

administration reserves the right to limit the number of candidates by considering
higher qualifications/experience.

5. Any request for change of address/E-mail ID will not be entertained till

completion of the selection process.

6. Only selected candidates would be informed of their selection in due

course after the selection process.

7. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging

to SC/ST and 3 years in case of candidates belonging to OBC.

8. Central Government orders on reservation in service in case of

SC/ST/OBC candidates apply.

9. The candidates applying for post at Sl.No.1 must be prepared for multi-
disciplinary work as per requirements including in the casualty unit of Hospital or
at dispensaries. Preference will be for candidates with Post-Graduate
qualification. Family quarters will be allotted at the Port hospital complex or
nearby.

10. The candidates are entitled to facilities namely leave, leave encashment
once a year, medical aid for self and family etc. as per the Port Trust regulations.

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Candidates must apply in the prescribed format duly affixed with latest
passport sized photograph.

2. Self attested copies in support of essential qualifications and a certified

copy of the Caste Certificates may be forwarded along with the application.
Candidates belonging to OBC category should attach non-creamy layer certificate
alongwith the caste certificate.

3. Application should be submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs.200

(non-refundable) from any scheduled bank drawn in favour of 'The Financial
Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer, Mumbai Port Trust, payable at Mumbai'
mentioning name and post applied on reverse of the Demand Draft. SC/ST
candidates are exempt from this payment.

4. A candidate should submit separate application with DD for each post.
Submission of a single application for more than one post shall lead to rejection of
application.

5. The application fee paid alongwith the application shall not be refunded.

6. Incomplete or unsigned applications or applications without photograph or

prescribed fee will stand rejected.

7. Applications received after the last date will be invalid. The Port Trust will
not be responsible for late/non-receipt of applications/call letters for written
examination/interview due to postal delays.

8. Applications may be addressed to the Manager (HR), Human Resources

Department, Mumbai Port Trust, Port House, 2nd floor, Shoorji Vallabhdas
Marg, Ballard Estate, Mumbai- 400 001. The envelope should be
superscribed "Application for the post of ”.

9. Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action

contrary to the law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.

10. Persons in service of Government/Semi-Government Organisations/ Public

Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel.

11. The last date for receipt of applications is 31.3.2011.

12. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
