About PocketCopy
PocketCopy copies your Palm Desktop Address List, Date Book, To Do List, Memo Pad or
Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Memos information to the default Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes
folders in Microsoft Outlook. This is a one-way transfer of information from the Palm Desktop to
Microsoft Outlook. PocketCopy also gives you the option to copy your private items to Outlook
from the Palm Desktop.

System Requirements
In order to install and use PocketCopy software, your computer system must meet the following
minimum requirements:
Palm Desktop Software 3.0 or higher
Microsoft® Outlook 98 or higher
Windows 98, ME, XP Home, or Windows 2000 or XP Professional
Windows®-compatible personal computer
16 MB RAM (32 recommended)
4 MB disk space
Installation instructions
1. Insert the PocketCopy CD-ROM into the computer’s CD-ROM drive, or click on the
download link.
2. On the Welcome screen, click Next.
3. Review the License agreement, select “I accept the agreement” and click Next to
continue.
4. On the Select Destination Location screen, click Next. If you wish to install PocketCopy
into a different folder, click the Browse button and select the desired folder, and click
Next.
5. On the Select Start Menu Folder screen, click Next. To use a different folder name, enter
the name of your choice into the space provided and click Next. The folder name is the
name that appears in Start | Programs.
6. On the Ready to Install screen, click Install.
7. The last screen announces the installation of PocketCopy is complete and gives you the
option to launch the program and/or to view the help file.
8. Make your selection and click Finish. Now, you can begin using the PocketCopy
Desktop.

Using PocketCopy
When you run the PocketCopy application, the following screen appears if you have the Palm
Desktop 4.0 or lower installed. If you have the Palm Desktop 4.1 or higher, the screen is the same
except the Palm User: field is not included.
Be sure your user name is selected in the Palm User: field if necessary.

Select the information you wish to copy from the Palm Desktop to Microsoft Outlook. To do this,
click in the Contacts, Calendar, Notes and/or Tasks check boxes.
The Copy Private Items check box is selected by default. This option, when selected, copies all
private and non-private items in the Palm Desktop Address List, Date Book, To Do List, Memo
Pad or Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Memos to Outlook. If you wish to leave your private items in
the Palm Desktop, uncheck this check box.
When you have finished making your selections, click the Copy button. The following dialog
appears to let you know the move was completed successfully.
Please note: Do not click the Copy button more than once for the same conduit (Calendar,
Contacts, Tasks or Notes). Doing so duplicates the moved information in Outlook.
