Three centuries after his time, the story of St.
Vincent de Paul is making international rounds
at film festivals in Ireland, England and America.
Six historians brought their life's work to the
project. Catholic TV will debut the film, entitled
"Vincent de Paul, Charity's Saint," on Vincent's feast day,
Sept. 27th.

Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center
April 1, 2011.
St. Edward’s Retreat for women will be held at Mater
Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre on the
weekend of April 1, 2011. Join your fellow parishion-
ers for this weekend of spiritual
enrichment and growth. The retreat which is led by
the Passionist retreat team begins Friday evening and
concludes Sunday at 11:00 am.
The theme for this year is - Come to the Well of
Living Water...Our Life of Prayer.

BUILD A MIRACLE
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Build a
Miracle homebuilding project. The school and parish
combined collected a little over $4000.00 to contrib-
ute toward a home for a impoverished family in Mex-
ico. If you are interested in going to help build a
home with Build a Miracle, the next build dates are

If you have recently returned to your faith, (that could mean physically, mentally or spiritually) or are just feeling a
little inadequate in the adult faith formation department, we invite you to come and talk about how to become a
more informed , spiritual, and mature believer. Misconceptions about the Catholic faith abound! Join into a discus-
sion during Lent with our priests and Faith Formation staff on these and many other thought-provoking issues.
Identical morning and evening sessions are available – EVENING: MONDAY, APRIL 4 at 7:00 PM or
AFTERNOON: THURSDAY APRIL 7 at 1:00 P.M. in Knight Hall. Bring a friend! All are welcome!

LENTEN DAILY MEDITATION BOOKS— Take

LENTEN SOUL WALK
Come join us again this Lent for a morning SOUL
WALK on the beach This year we’ll walk every
Thursday morning during Lent. . After a contem-
plative prayer experience, we walk together
alongside the ocean in God’s beautiful creation.
We will gather in the Capistrano Beach end of
Doheny State Park at 8:30 AM and will walk for
about an hour. Just turn right on Beach Road off
PCH and park in the metered spaces
SOUP AND STATIONS
Back again by popular demand, we invite every-
one to come and pray the Stations of the Cross
and then enjoy a simple soup supper after the
5:30 PM mass on all the Fridays during Lent. All
our wonderful ministries will take a turn hosting
the event each week. Stations will be in the
Church, soup in Knight Hall.

the Lenten prayer challenge and commit yourself
to reading a 6 minute meditation each day during
Lent. Like those we distributed during Advent,
these reflections are inspiring and easy to incor-
porate into your daily life.
TRY SPIRITUAL DIRECTION (also known as
“spiritual guidance or companionship) - We have
a number of qualified spiritual directors in our
midst who are willing to engage in a process of
listening generously to the movement of the Holy
Spirit in your life. Call the Faith Formation Office
for a referral.

Civil War Educational Weekend
St. Catherine’s Academy
March 26-27, 2011
St. Catherine’s Academy (215 N. Harbor Blvd., Ana-
heim) will host its 13th annual Civil War Educational
Weekend on March 26 & 27, 2011. Gates open at 9:30
a.m. Guest will observe famous battle reenactments by
