CYBORG

INTRODUCTION

• Direct neural interface :-

Direct communication pathway between a Brain and an external

device.

• Electroencephalography (EEG) is the most studied potential non-invasive

interface,, mainlyy due to its fine temporal
p resolution,, ease of use,, portability
p y
and low set-up cost
WHAT IS CYBOG?

CYBORG= CYBER ORGANISM

• CYBORG is a Part human and part machine,

a hybrid of neurons and wires or circuits.

• Term coined by Manfred E. Clynes and Nathan S. Kline in 1960.

• In real life, “cyborg'' can be applied to anyone with a body-

enhancing add-on.
Operational and architectural features of

especially the region where most of the nerves are
interconnected, and send and receive the electronic
impulses.

• wireless communication path is preferred.

APPLICATIONS

• Biomedical cybrogs
Cyber Drugs:

• Tiny Silicon chips implanted in the body could soon

imitate the effects of heroin or cocaine.

• The message would activate the chip and deliver

sensations to the brain identical to those created by
drugs and just as addictive.
BLIND PEOPLE

CYBER SOLDIER:

• Soldiers could be created through combinations of

biochemical, bioelectronics, and DNA manipulation.

• Cyber solder has faster reflexes, deadlier accuracy,

greater resistance to fatigue,
fatigue integrated weaponry,
weaponry and
most importantly, lesser inclinations toward fear or
doubt in combat.

ADVANTAGES

• Givingg artificial sight

• Can be implemented in almost all fields where human
interaction is needed.
• Interface humans with sensors then up to date information
would be sent to the cyborg for instantaneous analysis of the
status where ever he is.
• Any

impulse signals.
• The Cyborgs' single biggest advantage is their skill of
assimilation
• Intercommunication between two peoples can possible
without using speech .
DISADVANTAGES:

• Training is needed for doctors

• They are all expensive
• Psychological
h l i l problems
bl
• Feeling ‘different’ to everyone else
• The risk of rejection/infection
• Pain during operation
CONC US ON
CONCLUSION

 'Cyborg' is actually a science fiction shortening of

'cybernetic organism'. The idea is that, in the future,
we may have more and more artificial body parts—
arms legs,
arms, legs hearts,
hearts eyes and so on—till
on till one might end
up finally as a brain in a wholly artificial body.

 In the years ahead we will witness machines with an

intelligence more powerful than that of humans.
