COMPANY'S REPRESENTATIVE ON THE UNIT Company's Representative on the unit is the superintendant belonging to the department in charge of the unit adninistratt UNIT ADMINISTRATION ON SITE On the dritting site, Company's representative is in charge of the edninistretion of the unit. He does conduct and control the work. He is the sole representative towards Contractor and Service Companies. He is in charge of the normal adninistration of unit leasing contract and of other related contracts. Exemptions to these rules may be possible under conditions provided for in hereafter chapter 6, SAFETY OF THE WELL Company's representative is the responsible person for the safety of the well. In this respect he does have authority to delay, modify or suspend any phase of the operations. He ensures correct application of regulations in force, of Company's instructions and of instructions end technical rules drawn up by Elf Aquitaine Group. RESPONSIBILITIES DURING WELL OPERATIONS WITH USE OF ‘A DRILLING OR A SERVICING UNIT Page: 3 of 5 ~ SAFETY OF PERSONNEL 5.1 ~ Onshore Unit or Unit on Offshore Production Platform On an onshore unit, or on an unit installed on an offshore production platform, Company's Representative is the Sole Responsible Person for Safety (RUS)* of all personnel, safety fof the well and safety of the complete installation, unless otheruise stipulated by the Operations Manager, especially in case of Simultaneous Production and Drilling Operations. Company's Representative is the responsible person for enforcement of general discipline on the site, 5.2 ~ Mobile Offshore Oriling Unit On 2 Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit, the contractor Representative is the responsible Person for the safety of all personnel on board. This person, in particular, has sole authority to decide and conduct the evacuation of personnel or the move of the unit. 5.3 - Mobile Unit Assisting an Offshore Production Platform In case of @ mobile unit assisting an offshore production platform (tender, jackup), Paragraph 5.2 shall apply to the mobile unit, end paragraph 5.1 shall apply to the platform.
