JAY: Welcome, my name is **** and I will be your master

of ceremonies tonight. I want to thank you all for taking

the time out of your busy day to attend our ceremony to
honor the values of life that the keynote speaker has
brought to us. Let us hear from Kathrine Magsalin for her
welcome address. Let’s give her a round of applause.

KAT: It is indeed a privilege for me to deliver this welcome

address on behalf of our group and for welcoming you to
you to this ceremony. Thank you for coming. We are
gathered here today to commemorate a person who
believed in himself and as far as today is successful in his
career.

JAY: Thank you for that wonderful welcome speech Ms.

Magsalin. Now let’s here it from Mr. Drans Marasigan for
the introduction of the speaker.

DRANS: "Ladies and gentlemen, we're in for a real treat

tonight. Our guest speaker is a man who has been a great
inspiration to all of us. He is the person who knows the
history of the life of a successful businessman: the stories,
the challenges and the little known secrets. Not only that
but he's a very entertaining speaker. Please join me in
giving a very warm welcome to Arvin Maras"

ARVIN: Perhaps the most important innovation in our life,

the computer has completely revolutionized nearly every
aspect of daily life. But none of that is possible without a
man names Bill Gates. Bill strongly believes in hard work.
He believes that if you are intelligent and know how to
apply your intelligence, you can achieve anything. From
childhood Bill was ambitious, intelligent and competitive.
These qualities helped him to attain top position in the
profession he chose. Even at a young age he seemed
destined for great things. At mere age of 13, he started
computer programming. He entered Harvard in 1973.
Within a year, Bill Gates dropped out from Harvard. Then
he formed Microsoft. Microsoft's vision is "A computer on
every desk and Microsoft software on every computer".
Bill is a visionary person and works very hard to achieve
his vision. His belief in high intelligence and hard work has
put him where he is today. He does not believe in mere
luck or God’s grace, but just hard work and
competitiveness. Bill’s Microsoft is good competition for
other software companies and he will continue to stomp
out the competition until he dies. He likes to play the
game of Risk and the game of world domination. His
beliefs are so powerful, which have helped him increase
his wealth and his monopoly in the industry. Within two
years, Microsoft had expanded internationally into Europe
and Japan. Undoubtedly he made a difference in
everyone’s life all around the world. He has certainly
changed the way everyone lives from doing business, to
research to entertainment. He is now known as one of the
richest man in the planet.

JAY: Thank You for that inspiring keynote speech Mr.

Maras. Why don’t we give him a round of applause? Now,
for the closing remarks, let me call on Mr. Julius Malonzo.

JULIUS: It gives me great pleasure to deliver the closing

remarks for this commemorative speech. On behalf of our
group, thank you for your time by listening to us. I hope
the burning passion of Bill Gates inspires you. As IT
students, we also can be like him in many ways. Let us
believe in our skills, study well and be successful one day.
Life is all about making the right choices and I hope you
are choosing the right ones. Let me end this speech by a
quote by Bill Gates himself, It's fine to celebrate success
but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.
Once again, thank you and have a good day!
