CAREER ABSTRACT

 Presently working as QA/QC Engineer for the oil and gas projects in the Powertech Engineering LLC, which
is fastest growing EPC organization in Oman, especially in Petroleum development Oman-oil and Gas field.
The role includes the implementation of the standards on site, preparation of QCPs, Carrying out and
witnessing tests, Site inspection of Received material, site documentation, reviewing procedures(Method
statements),Preparation of the test pack and handover documents.
 Previously working in Insight Quality Services, Pune as an inspector and auditor for Quality and HSE audits.
Working as a team member of Consultancy team which is consulting for ISO certification to the companies
and also for HSE audits.

 Previously working in Precision Automation and Robotics (I) Ltd. The Role includes the receipt and final
inspection of the conveyors (one of the product of PARI).The receipt inspection of the electrical parts as
motors, panels and other electrical components. The final inspection and testing of the conveyors as no
load and on-load test, heat and run test etc. and the final handover of the documents in the client
approved formats (as required).

 Previously working in Indorigin Electric Ltd. (Subsidiary of Automatic Electric Ltd.-Mumbai) as engineer –
Testing and product inspection, in the Power Line Transducer section. The role was including the testing of
the final product i.e. Power Line Transducer. Resolving issues on the production front and vendor
competency. Taking action on the customer complaints reported by support team. Handling customer
inspections.

 Previously working in Tachometric Controls as Trainee engineer – Development. The role was including the
testing of the final Induction Motors. Handling the production activities.

 Preparing the Quality Control plans for the activities and method statements if required.
 Witnessing the test (various site tests for the transformer, cables, CTs, PTs, HV/LV Panels), interpretation
of the results, with the standards (SPs-Omani standards, DEPs – Shell Global Standard, and IEC

 Implementation of the Quality plans on the site with the help of the QC Inspectors. Making quality checks
and monitoring the activity with reference to the standards
 Conducting the Internal Audits (For ISO 9001) or customer audits for the subcontractors Quality

 Co-ordination with the client and third party Inspectors , to prove the product or activity going as per
standard and in case of any customer inspection or third party inspection.
 Maintaining the Supplier rejection data and its analysis, in order to improve supplier performance.
 Other quality related activities on site such as Calibration of the Measuring and Monitoring Equipments,
Maintaining updated documentation, carrying out testing if required.
 Participation of the HSE workshops for Hazard Effects Management Planning (HEMP), conducting the HSE
inspections at sites.

 Ability to communicate, coordinate with the client representatives as well as production, design and stores
person, with their terminologies, factual approach, simple language etc.

Projects completed:
Hubara Saihrawal 132 kV OHL Reinforcement - Client – Worley Parsons-Arabian Industries JV
The erection of nearly 102 kms. of OHL including the wooden pole Transmission lines and road crossing
towers, expansion of the substations for the OHLs.

Qarn Alam steam project (QASP) – Client – Dodsal Engineering LLC

Erection of the Power and Distribution transformers for the Qarn-alam steam plant, which included the
power transformers (CGL/TELK/ABB) with 90 MVA rating (Crompton Greves).and distribution transformers
with 10, 20, 15 MVA rating, Earthing for the substations including deep earth wells, pre-commissioning
testing of transformers.

Runib 132 kV substation Expansion – Client – Worley Parsons-Arabian Industries JV

The addition of two new bays in the substation with the SA/CT/CB and erection of the two power
transformers (EMCO) and installation of the new 33 kV GIS (Tamco - Malaysia).Installation of the new
RTCC, SCADA, Control and Relay panels and interfacing with the present system. Earthing, HV Cable
Laying, Termination, panel wiring.

Role in the above projects was

 Implementation of the QCPs on the site
 Making the checks as per the QCPs and relevant standards and preparing the test reports
 Preparation of the QCPs, Method Statements, test Packs as per client standards and co-ordination with the
client
 Witnessing and conducting the tests (E.g. witnessing of IR test, winding resistance, Magnetic balance test,
NO Load/short circuit tests for transformer, conducting the IR , Ductor test, BDV)
 Maintaining updated documentation (drawings, standards and QCPs), calibration of the instruments ,
Conducting the internal audits
 Looking after the construction work as an additional responsibility including the planning and resource
arrangement/permits coordination/client co-ordination/conducting the safety meetings as per the
requirements

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Title: Digital Differential Protection of Transformer Based on Current Harmonics
Duration : 1 year Team Size: 4 members
Synopsis : Designing a system to isolate the inrush, Fault and Over excitation condition with a Circuit that will
detect the condition using current harmonics.
Technique: The current signal converted to voltage and then processed by A/D converter and applied to Fast
Fourier Transform. Then software in C will detect the current Harmonics Values and then indicate the
corresponding condition
Role: Development of software for signal processing, Interfacing with A/D converter, interfacing with Parallel
Port, Development of necessary software for interfacing.
