YOU MIGHT BE A THIEF.

Even they don’t consider it stealing, many people regularly take things

from their companies. This occurs due to a mental trap known as kleptomania or

robbing without being aware of what one is doing. The most common items to

disappear are pens and pencils that employees almost unconsciously stuff into

their purses, knapsacks, or briefcase. Over time they may accumulate quite a

stash of them.

Another big item, for example, is all kinds of paper, handy little

notepads, and file folders to organize home records.

Another “innocent theft” is the long - distance

personal phone call.

These calls cost the company in two ways: they use company time for

personal business, and the company has to pay for the calls.

Remember no phone is for free, not even for a multimillionaire

enterprise. Finally, one of the more significant ways people steal is by taking

home samples of the products the company makes, such as: food, clothing,

supplies and so on. Employees think they are entitled to these products and even

give them to friends. By doing so, they hurt the company by robbing it of a

product it depends on for revenue.

These examples may not seem like stealing, but the

results are the same: extra costs to the company,

which may result in lower pay rises. So if you are one

of these people watch out stop ROBBING!!!!

MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.
Nowadays companies make use of four different ways of
transportation in order to deliver their merchandise to their
costumers. They are classified into four categories, they are: air
transportation, aquatic transportation, road transportation and railway
transportation.

The first type is when the goods must be delivered and you do not have
too much time, so air transport is the indicated. Planes allow us to move
quickly from one city to another. It is used most frequently by great
enterprises which have to deal with many international customers in
lots of different continents or countries.

On the other hand, if speed is not your worry, you dispose of the
aquatic transportation. Boats and ships are a slightly different option which is
used mainly to move great lots or merchandise that could not be done by any
other media. It also reduces the shipping costs.

Next, in the third category we have the road transportation. This is the
most common way of moving goods, especially in short distances deliveries.
Trucks in this case are very useful.

Finally, we have the last kind: the railway transportation. It is

frequently used because it reduces the costs of the rates and is the cheapest
mean of carrying the supplies. Just a few countries and companies have access to
this service.

All of them are very common and their use will depend on the necessities
of the customers, the willingness of the company and the supply and demand.

WHAT A RESUME SHOULD HAVE.

A resume is a summarized synthesis of paper where is settled some

information about your studies, skills and abilities that enable you to work or

at least apply for a job. That is why it should contain the most important

information about you.

First, it must indicate for example: your full name, date of birth,

identification number, age, and address. This is the basic headlines at the top

of the paper.

It must also contain details about your formation such as: high school and

college studies. It should indicate for

instance the different degrees you have

reached and the profession you are

developing. On the contrary if you are still a student, it must point the year

or semester you are taking.

It should indicate specifically the names and dates of

the congress, seminars and workshops you have taken. This information is known

as academic and professional status.

Almost at the end of the paper you should write some personal

references about some people who can give anyone a good recommendation about

you.

Finally, you have to indicate your main abilities, skills, and interest

for work, in order to have a successful and complete resume. Remember the resume

is you in synthesized words.

BUSINESS FIRMS.
There are three main types of firms or businesses. The first is called
one- man business, which means that the firm is operated and owned by one
person, who has sole responsibility and usually has few employees. An example
would be an ordinary shop or the workshop of a craftsman.

The second kind goes by the name of partnership. This is an association

between two or more people, some contributing with money and others their skill
and know-how.

The third category is what is called a company or a corporation. Here the

stock or capital is provided jointly by a number of stockholders who, through
buying of shares, become the actual owners of the firm.
