Job Profile 2:

 Installation, Commissioning and Integration of BTS and Transmission Network elements

 To carry out Network modification from time to time like TRX additions, MW hops
reconfigurations, Up gradation etc
 Responsible for maintenance of Utilities like DG, Stabilizer, Power plant, earth pits etc
 Responsible for carrying out regular preventive maintenance site visits
 Performing the test for VSWR, Return Loss and DTF of the feeder cables using Site
Master, Power Calibration of CDMA Modcell
 Taking care of network & project related activities of BTS.

 Ensuring preventive and breakdown maintenance of BTS network within the specified
time frame and implementation of corrective actions.

GSM Antenna Installation

The installation of antenna mounting pipes associated with mechanical arrangement will be
examined and where necessary corrected to ensure the following: -

Antenna Installation Process

The antenna installation & testing will be carried out using the following resources: -

• Trained team
• Expert supervision
• Site Master
• Earthing System :

The earthing system is designed to achieve the uniform earth resistance of less than 1
ohm at the site. The grounding system consists of the following Sub Systems:

• Earthing pits - 6 nos., one for lightning protection of Tower and Equipment Shelter, one
for the Electronic Equipment inside the Shelter, one for the DG Neutral DG & Body earth
earth , one for AC earth, one for RF earth and one for Electrical Equipments Earthing.
• Earth conductor runs from the lightning protection system, Principal ground bar
maintained as reference in the shelter for electronic equipment, DG neutral and DG body
to the respective earth pits.

VSWR Testing : By using VSWR we can find out the value of vswr for RF readings and
find out the Return loss and Distance to Fault .

My role involved in BTS installation, commissioning and integration into the network, call testing,
power calibration, sweep test for RF cables, power cable termination from SMPS, alarm testing

 Performing the test for VSWR, Return Loss and DTF of the feeder cables using Site Master,
