In sentences that start with "Weil" or "denn", you explain the reason for
something. Both conjunctions have the same meaning. Denn and weil are
both words that mean 'because.' They are synonyms that can be used
interchangeably. But there are differences in sentence structure: That’s it!
Zum Beispiel:
✓ Anshu und Lizzie haben oft Streit, weil sie sehr verschieden sind.
✓ Sie geht jeden tag spazieren, weil sie einen Hund hat
After "denn" is a main clause in which the verb is in the second position.
Attention: If you count the positions, you do not count the conjunction
"denn". You can say: "denn" is in position zero.
Zum Beispiel:
✓ Anshu und Lizzie haben oft Streit, denn sie sind sehr verschieden.
✓ Sie geht jeden tag spazieren, denn sie hat einen Hund
1. Ich komme nicht mit,__________ ich habe keine Lust.
2. Der Lehrer ist böse, ___________ die Schüler sind sehr faul.
4. Anshu versteht die Frage nicht, __________ er kann nicht gut hören.
5. Lizzie verlässt den Unterricht, ___________ sie zum Arzt gehen muss.
