Taskforce Manual:
Tau Empire
A Tau Taskforce usually consists of several Fire Warriors and supporting Pathfinders, which
can call on powerful XV15 Stealth suits to aid them. All Tau Taskforces must include one
Team Leader. A Taskforce can only have one Team Leader. There is no limit as to how many
Team Members can be included in Taskforce.
Marksmen:
Tau units (not drones) are considered especially fast with their firearms and thus double their
Initiative for the purpose of Ranged Initiative. This does not occur if the Tau unit is in melee
range.
Bonding Sword:
In the Fire Caste there is a tradition where Fire Warriors bond ritually, using a sword or knife
to scar themselves to prove their devotion to their brothers. A Bonding Sword counts as a
two-handed melee weapon which a Team Leader can use instead of his normal weapon. If
the Team Leader has a Bonding Sword, then Team Members of his class may purchase an
extra Action Point for 50 points. Units in XV15 Stealth Suits may not use this rule.
If the Taskforce is hails from the Farsight Enclave, it may only consist of either XV15 Stealth
Suit Combatants and a XV15 Stealth Suit Team Leader or Fire Warriors, Pathfinders and a
Fire Warrior Team Leader or Pathfinder Team Leader. Tau units from the Farsight Enclave
may purchase the Ork Fighter training for +30 Points per unit, which increases their Weapon
Skill and Initiative by 1. In addition, they may purchase two-handed melee weapons for +15
Points per unit.

Armory:
Markerlight:
Markerlights counts as an incorporated ranged weapon with no capacity to do damage.
However any hit with a Markerlight allows the user to modify another's units BS to 2+ for
that turn.
Pulse Carbine:
The Pulse Carbine comes equipped with a incorporated grenade launcher, which gives the
user the ability to launch a grenade simultaneously as the weapon fires. Units using
incorporated grenade launchers may place a grenade marker anywhere within line of sight
by passing a Limit(BS) test. If successful, the grenade moves Scat1D6”+X, but if failed, it
moves Scat2D6”+X. The user must purchase grenades to use this function.
Rail Rifle:
Rail Rifles are smaller versions of the Railgun which are quite deadly. Units using rail rifles
fire them as normal ranged weapons, however, if it hits, any units (friend or foe) that are
directly in path from the wielder to the targeted unit as well as behind it are also hit by
passing a Limit4+ test.
