AUBURN ZONE SOFTBALL TEAM

Dear Parent/Carer

Your child ___________________ has been selected to represent Auburn PSSA at the Sydney West
Region Softball Carnival on Wednesday 30th March, 2010.

Students will travel by private mini bus or vehicle on Wednesday 30th March 2011, to and from
Penrith City Softball Grounds, Ballybunnion Terrace, Glenmore Park. They will be accompanied by
Miss Karamaneas (Merrylands East PS) and Mrs Cattell (Blaxcell Street PS).

The bus will depart Merrylands East PS at 7:15am. Our first game is at 8:00am and we have to
allow appropriate time for travel and unpacking before the commencement of our first game.

The return time will depend on when our final game is played and our previous results in the day.
We will contact parents on the return home and let them know what time the bus will be arriving.
We imagine it will be approximately 4:00pm. Please record your phone numbers on the back of this
sheet.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING BY CAR WITH YOUR PARENTS COULD YOU PLEASE CALL Miss
Karamaneas ON 0404 215 092 TO NOTIFY HER OF THIS ASAP. This is to ensure we don’t
leave anyone behind or are not waiting for people who don’t turn up.

Players will be provided with an Auburn Zone softball uniform and will need to pay $5.00 to attend
the carnival. The money needs to be returned to your student’s school ASAP. All students need to
wear BLACK SHORTS on the day. They will be provided with socks and a shirt.

Your child will need the following for the carnival:

Carnival
• Wear the Auburn Zone softball uniform and appropriate
footwear
• School hat and sunscreen
• Recess, lunch and plenty to drink – a water bottle that
can be refilled is essential
• Mitt and catching gear (if required)
• Any medication that may be needed (eg. asthma puffer)
