In an era of globalization and competition an investor would normally keep a track of

investment and try to get best out of it. Investment in ELSS and ULIP will give the

investor the tax benefit and return.

The project is comparative analysis of investment through ELSS and ULIP

completed in Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. The project is mainly focused on Customer who

wants tax benefit and investment.

Many people are confused that which one is better in between ULIP and ELSS.

This project will give them better understanding of ELSS and ULIP product and the basic

difference in between them.

 This project also gives information that what are the different factors that affect the

investment decision.

The secondary research will give the risk, return and knowledge of different

parameter while selecting the ELSS and ULIP.

In the overall project, it is nowhere mention that the only ELSS or only ULIP is

better for the entire customer. Because one product cannot satisfy all needs of all

customer for all time. So before analyzing risk and return pattern of investor we cannot

say which one is better among ELSS and ULIP.

In the project, it is mention different cases that for what kind of investor, which is

better. If investor is ready to take high risk then he must choose ELSS along with term

insurance plan. This will give him insurance with less premium as well as Investment

with good return. If person does not want to take moderate or high risk then he must

choose ULIP as investment option, which gives him average to low return as well as

insurance benefit. However, investment in ULIP will work only for investment more then

10 year because the high expense charges will eat return of initial few years.
