Planner Buyer

Responsibilities & Activities:

• Negotiating terms and conditions of purchase and purchasing assuring that the requirements for purchased
items are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Continually work to improve quality, delivery and costs through programs which, Improve overall quality of
vendor, clearly define requirements with engineering and vendors and negotiate more favorable terms with
existing vendors.
• As required, source new parts along with internal and emergency requirements.
• Review open requirements, monitoring vendor performance, and expediting or de-expediting where necessary.
• Assure that purchase orders are entered into and updated within the computer system in an accurate, timely
manner, and that all order information is complete, in order to the further requirements are clearly defined.
• Collaborating extensively with vendors, traffic, and warehousing personnel to coordinate the cost-effective and
timely expediting of merchandise.
