1 Connecting
the Receiver unit

4 Turning
the TV and the Transmitter unit on

the remote control

Thank you for purchasing this Sony BRAVIA® Wireless Link. This product provides the capability to
transmit HD video and audio from your AV sources to your compatible BRAVIA HDTV wirelessly.
You can use the supplied remote control to operate your TV as well as your connected equipment. The
Wireless Link supports connection for up to four HDMI sources and I component source.

Optimal Environment for Placement of the Units


Follow the suggestions below to create an optimal environment for your new Sony BRAVIA Wireless
Link. Proper placement of the receiver and transmitter units will ensure a strong Wireless LINK LEVEL
for superior performance.
• Use one system per room, placing the transmitter and receiver units for each system in the same room.
• If you use a 5 GHz WLAN or cordless phone, place those in a different room.
• Do not place either unit on a metallic rack.
• Place the transmitter unit as high up as possible.
• Maximum operating distance is approximately 20 m or 65 feet, depending on the environment.
• Be sure to keep at least I foot (30 cm) minimum distance between the transmitter and receiver units.

• If POWER LED of the receiver unit does not light up, confirm Control for HOMI
setting of the TV is On.
• The power of the receiver unit turns on or off in conjunction with TV, if Control for
HOMI setting of the TV is On and the unit is connected to the TV by HDMI cable.
• When Control for HOMI is enabled on your TV, the power of the receiver unit will
follow the power state of the TV. When the TV is turned on or off, the receiver unit will
also tum on or off. To manually control the power of the receiver unit using the
receiver's POWER button, you must tum off the TV's Control for HOMI.
• If Control for HOMI of the TV is Off, you must tum the power of the receiver unit on
or off by pressing the POWER button on the unit.
• The supplied remote control cannot be used to tum on or off the receiver unit separately
from the TV.
[g] OC IN 9V Connects to the supplied AC power adapter with AC cord.
~ HOMIOUT Connects to any HDMI input on the TV.
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) provides an uncompressed, all-digital
audio/video interface between the receiver unit and the TV.

[2] DIGITAL AUDIO Connects to the optical audio input of your digital audio equipment that is PCMlDolby
OUT (OPTICAL) Digital compatible. This unit supports Linear PCM and compressed audio format, such as
Dolby Digital Audio, DTS audio, with a maximum bitrate of 3 Mbps or less. If the
connected equipment and TV support compressed audio formats, the transmitter unit will
output compressed audio.

Overview of the Remote Control

Operate your TV using the following buttons.

When using the remote control to operate the transmitter unit and connected external equipment, the
following button operations are available.

[I] AV POWER Press to tum the external equipment on and off after
selecting an input using the input select buttons [gJ.
[gJ IN 1/213/4 Press one of the input select buttons to select and control
HDMI, IN 5 equipment connected to the corresponding input. The
COMPONENT input select button indicator lights up momentarily when
input select pressed to show which external equipment the remote
buttons control is operating. See the Startup Guide for
programming the remote control.
@] IN 1/213/4 • I~/~I: Goes to the beginning of the previous/next
HDMI, IN 5 title/chapterlscene/track.
COMPONENT • ... /... : Replays the scene/briefly fast forwards the
operating scene.
buttons • ~/~: Fast reverses/fast forwards the disc when
pressed during playback.
• ~: Plays a disc at normal speed.
• II: Pauses the playback.
• .: Stops the playback.
[ID GUIDE Press to display the Digital Electronic Program Guide
(EPG) when the satellite receiver or cable box is
selected.
[l] RETURN Press to go back to the previous screen or exit from the

[ID 0-9, ENT For a set-top box, press 0-9 to select a channel. Press

Setup Description

Set up the IR Blaster to control external equipment connected to the transmitter unit with the supplied
remote control. For details, see the supplied Startup Guide.

Category Select the category from Cable Box, Satellite, VCR, DVD, BD or Receiver.
Maker Select the manufacturer of your equipment from the list.
Select Enter code... to enter codes for equipment not listed (for code list, see page 15).
Code Select the code from the list (see page 15).

• For Sony products, most of the codes appear as text.
Test (Power On/Off) Check that the code is correct by powering on or off the equipment attached to the selected
input.

• If the equipment's supplied remote control has both a POWER ON and a POWER OFF
button, the Test Power (On/Off) function might not work to test the IR code.
Select Save and Exit, then test if any other remote buttons will operate your
equipment:
Save and Exit Save the setting and exit the Setup menu.

LIMITED WARRANTY (u.s. Only)

Sony Electronics Inc. ("Sony") warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship for the time
periods and as set forth below. Pursuant to this Limited Warranty, Sony will, at its option, (i) repair the product
using new or refurbished parts or (ii) replace the product with a new or refurbished product. For purposes of this
Limited Warranty, "refurbished" means a product or part that has been returned to its original specifications. In
the event of a defect, these are your exclusive remedies.

Term: For a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase of the product (or a period of ninety (90)
days for commercial use), Sony will, at its option, repair or replace with new or refurbished product or parts, any
product or parts determined to be defective.

This Limited Warranty covers only the hardware components packaged with the Product. It does not cover
technical assistance for hardware or software usage and it does not cover any software products whether or not
contained in the Product; any such software is provided" AS IS" unless expressly provided for in any enclosed
software Limited Warranty. Please refer to the End User License Agreements included with the Product for your
rights and obligations with respect to the software.

Instructions: In-home diagnostic warranty service is provided during the one (1) year limited warranty term
(ninety (90) days for commercial use) for thirty (30) inch (measured diagonally) or larger screen size television
products through a Sony-authorized service facility. Otherwise, to obtain warranty service, you must deliver the
product, freight prepaid, in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection to

Repair I Replacement Warranty: This Limited Warranty shall apply to any repair, replacement part or replace-
ment product for the remainder of the original Limited Warranty period or for ninety (90) days, whichever is
longer. Any parts or product replaced under this Limited Warranty will become the property of Sony.

This Limited Warranty only covers product issues caused by defects in material or workmanship during ordinary
consumer use; it does not cover product issues caused by any other reason, including but not limited to product
issues due to (i) acts of God, (ii) misuse, (iii) customer instruction, installation, set up adjustments or signal
reception issues; (iv) limitations of technology, or (v) modification of or to any part of the Sony product include
the antenna. This Limited Warranty does not cover Sony products sold AS IS orWITH ALL FAULTS or consumables
(such as fuses or batteries). This Limited Warranty is invalid ifthe factory-applied serial number has been altered
or removed from the product. This Limited Warranty is valid only in the United States.

LIMITATION ON DAMAGES: SONY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT.

DURATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES: EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT
IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations
on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Limited
Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
