2. Program’s requirement
(1) In case that a student has insufficient academic
background in some areas concerning his/her thesis
subject, the student must enroll in some non-credit
courses, with out earning credits, as recommended by
his/her thesis advisor.
(2) A student must submit a progress report of his/her
thesis work to the Graduate Program Administrative
Committee during each quarter; in March, June,
September, and December.
(3) A student must organize and present a seminar or
discussion on the topics related to his/her thesis each
semester, for at least three semesters.
(4) With the approval of the Graduate Program
Administrative Committee, a student must present at
least on academic paper related to his/her thesis at an
academic meeting or publish the paper in an
academic journal. In case of publishing a paper the
stages of having a paper accepted for publication or
being in press are acceptable.

degree in Science (Geology) or other Engineering,
must enroll or train in some undergraduate courses
as recommended by the Graduate Program

through the Mining Engineering
department with 700 or higher level.
