BACKGROUND OF CCPC HISTORY OF CAMBODIAN CHRISTIAN PROTESTAN COMMUNITY

Cambodian Christian Protestant Community Cambodian Interreligious Council Inaugurated

(C.C.P.C) is a civil society which is a
religion community in amount of six
religions that is a part of Cambodian Inter-
Religious Council (C.I.C) and that is a part
of World Conference on Religion and
Peace (W.C.R.P) and the United Nations
(UN)
Ministry of Religious and Cult had
invited His Excellency Ung Ty to joint to
be a representative of CCPC for a
founder of Cambodia Inter-Religious
Council within amount 6 communities of
religious in 2nd mandate and in the
presiding of representative of King,
Samdach Chaovear Vang Kong Samol
read the message to acknowledge.
CCPC is organized by Ministry of Religion
and Cult, endorsed by the King, support by
Chairman of National Assembly by
Samdech Heng Samrin, Recognized His
Excellency Ung Ty is a representative of
CCPC by Samdech Hun Sen, Prime
Minister of Government Cambodia, and
endorse CCPC’s leadership by Samdech
Chea Sim, Chairman of Senate.

On October 10 the inauguration ceremony of the Cambodian Interreligious Council
(CIC) was held at a hall in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, under the patronage of His
Majesty King Sihanouk. The CIC was initiated as a national chapter of the World
Conference on Religion and Peace (WCRP); the ceremony marked the first
coalition of Cambodia's Muslim, Buddhist, and Christian communities to take joint
action in search of peace. The delegates--200 Buddhists, 200 Muslims, and 100
Christians--took part in the ceremony and welcomed representatives from the
Cambodian government and the U.N. as well as guests from overseas
organizations. The opening remarks, delivered by His Excellency Mr. Chhorn Iem,
secretary of state of the Cambodian Ministry of Religious Affairs, were followed
by the introduction of the WCRP by Dr. William F. Vendley, secretary general. Six
founding members from Buddhist, Muslim, and Christian communities in
Cambodia offered comments on the establishment of the CIC. His Holiness
Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong of the Mahanikaya Buddhist Order of Cambodia
mentioned that this remarkable day was a historic event. He also said that the
ceremony encouraged people of different religions to come together in solidarity
and cooperate with the government, the U.N., and other nongovernmental
organizations (NGOs) to bring about social stability in Cambodia. Then the royal
address of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk was read by proxy, and the
Cambodian religious leaders signed their joint statement. Congratulatory messages
were delivered by representatives of the Cambodian government, U.N. organs in
Cambodia, and the WCRP. In his congratulatory address as one of the international
presidents of the WCRP, Rev. Nichiko Niwano, president of Rissho Kosei-kai, said
that through his experience with the WCRP's interreligious cooperation he had
realized the importance of collaborating with the religious and local communities
and, above all, the significance of working together to solve real social problems.
He expressed his conviction that the CIC would demonstrate the ability of religions
to contribute not only to social development but also to social reconciliation, to
bring about peace in Cambodia. The CIC hopes that Cambodian religious
organizations will cooperate with the government, the U.N., and NGOs to help
tackle the problems caused by the Pol Pot regime and the ensuing civil war:
poverty, violation of human rights, environmental destruction, HIV infection, land
mines, and the proliferation of small arms and light weapons. To support the
establishment of the CIC, the Japanese Committee of the WCRP will allot one
million Japanese yen per year for three years from its Fund for Peace and
Development. The WCRP also hopes to establish national chapters in Southeast

 SPEECH OF CHAIRMAN

Greeting to all Brother and Sister in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am
Senator Rev. Ung Ty, the chairman of Cambodian Christian Protest Community
(CCPC). I would like to express my sincere welcome to everyone.

In 2008 Cambodia has population about 13,395,682 whereby women make up

51% of the total population. Young people up to the age of 14 years old make up
34% of the total population. The proportion of the 30-34 years old is significantly
lower, steep decline due to the low fertility and high morality during the Khmer-
Rouge left with a highly unbalanced mixture of men and women. The Social-
Economic Survey of Cambodia estimates that 21% of the population or about 2.2
million live in female-headed households with a higher percentage in Phnom Penh
Capital than in Rural areas. Three decades of civil war have thus resulted in a -
large number of women as head of households. This has caused a severally depleted agriculture labor force, leaving
many women with the responsibility of farm as well household management, and displaced rural families from their
origin land holding.

Look at in Environment (A number of environmental trends have and impact on rural livelihood in general; they
are more depend on natural resources. In many provinces, a process of soil degradation is apparent due to depletion
of essential minerals, resulting in low crop yields. High yielding rice varieties substitute local rice varieties, and
there is a risk of loss of agro-biological diversity). Energy (Cambodia's energy consumption is one of the lowest in
the World. More than 96% of the total energy is used in domestic activities including cooking and agro-processing
from biomass energy such as fuel wood and charcoal.

My Suggestion: Determine priority areas in the economic, environment and energy sector that would benefit and
protect the most of the population, especially the vulnerable groups like poor or indigenous people, people in rural
areas or in the informal sector etc... Also focus to "strengthen social protection and ensure financial inclusion".

By focusing above, what do CCPC do and play on what in active role through Christian behavior on this mission
for the Lord in Cambodia?

As I am a chair man and founder of CCPC through God called and CCPC was setup and requested by Ministry of
Religious and Cult to have it for fulfill the needed of Government from requested of United Nation in order to
inauguration as legal recognition Council of Religious in Cambodia, to have Cambodia Inter-Religious Council
(CIC). CIC is a chapter of UN for benefit of Cambodia. Because God is the one who has created to have a CCPC in
Cambodia so that we believe that God should keep continue to bless CCPC according to His plan through His
timing. We are all is His Instrument, our duty is let Him used for blessing Kingdom of Cambodia. Expanding God
Kingdom in Cambodia, it is our responsibility with our Living God that we committed with Him unchangeable.

Now, our members increase rapidly. We need to organize our members through perfect channel, perfect plan of
each Church, to each denomination under leadership of caring from CCPC. We are agreed, each Denomination
Church, Organization Church, Association Church, Independent Church focus only spiritual leading within each
need for their group but not satisfy the will of God at all. As teaching in Bible "Ye, God to the World preach the
Gospel for all Nation..." Good strategy to follow that but in this new generation in our live, I pray deeply to our
Lord, Vision come to me is expand God kingdom in Cambodia is not enough to do as missionaries do it yet, as we
are community should be care about the living of Cambodia’s people, no matter what religious where they come
from? Reaching them in changing society of Cambodia to be God Kingdom, We need more help by praying and
knock door to door for helping and blessing us.

CONFERENCE OF CCPC
On Dec 01, 2010 CCPC had a
conference for one day led by
Senator Rev. Ung Ty, Chairman of
CCPC. The conference separated as
two parts, one in the morning and
one more in the afternoon.
In the morning meeting the
representative of CCPC from all
provinces and city talk about how to
strengthening their capacities to be
work more effectively from now on
and to the future, especially we
talked more about, how to collect
church member from other
churches, denominations, bible
schools, organizations… to be unity
in Protestant Community to push
our society have a good order
especially have peace in the name of
the Lord Jesus Christ.
And in the afternoon meeting of Board
Directors of CCPC. In this meeting
Senator Rev. Ung Ty had gave an
opportunity to our board directors to
reports their progressive of CCPC from
other places because now by the grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ many people
from other institutions that have
Protestant characteristic in Cambodia
had joined with CCPC and not only, we
had compassionate dialogue that honors
different personal experiences,
perspectives, and narratives, while
allowing for better expressing and
listening to each other as we work
together toward understanding and
harmony for bringing the idea to all
protestant churches to unify the same
voice in Cambodia.
The CCPC is intended to create an open
venue where we can engage
meaningfully and invite in a public
Christian dialogue that brings our joint
wisdom to bear in exploring difficult
issues that sometimes affect us all. This
conference ended with joy and
experience exchanging from different
people of our board directors of CCPC.

Meeting Between Pastor Luka's
Team and H.E Rev. Ung Ty
On Thursday the 21 of October 2010,
His Excellency Rev. Ung Ty the
Senator and Chairman of CCPC
allowed Pastor Luka's Team from
Manukau Hope Center in New
Zealand to meet and salute in the
Senate House in Phnom Penh city. The
salute was led by Pastor Sam Oeun
Visal the director of Harvest Training
Cambodia.
In the meeting, Brother Tavita,
team's leader said that the visitation
to Cambodia is to teach or share -
Christian faith (Protestant Church)
in Cambodia and help to the poor

of helping to improve the health in

Province
On October 29, 2010 by having the
intervention from Senator Rev. Ung Ty

The team also provided the children
with food and school materials. All
students are very happy.

with the doctors and nurses from
Singapore, China, Australia, USA,
Brunei, and Indonesia.
This is a humanity activities to help
to our people in Cambodia,
especially we take care all of them
by do not get money. And on 26 of October 2010 this team
was bringing some humanity gifts to
give to the kids in Good News Four
Square (Orphanage Center) in Stoeung
Thmey village, Siem Reap province.

opportunity to take care all of them
and sharing the Words of God to

team had traveled to visit the
flooting village in Tadek, Bantay
Mean Chay province.
The team had encouraged to the
people with the God's word and pray
for them too.
And we also saw the village chief came
to join with the team too. The team had
brought their humanity gifts to share to
the people in Tadek village such as:
Noodle, Can Tin Fish, Rice, Soy Source
and Water Filter. The team also shared
some clothes for the kids too.
And in the evening on the same day
the team had also bring the
humanity gifts to share in Good
News Four Square (Orphanage
Center) in Kralanh village, Siem
Reap province.
In this visiting the team had
encourage to all kids with the Words
of God and their life testimonies,

each other and asking the blessing from
our God and have some gifts to share to

Video Conference in Siem Reap
On September 24, 2010 CCPC in Siem
reap was preparing a video conference
from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. The
purpose of this video conference is to
respond to the questions of our
Christian here in Siem Reap that they
always wondered, what is CCPC?
Where is CCPC...?
Through this conference we saw that
many people/Christian member
from any churches, organizations
and denominations came to joint,
about 100 and more than this of
leaders and pastors came to jointed
and has many questions to asked to
Senator Rev. Ung Ty, with their
questions Senator Rev. Ung Ty has
replied/answered as well and all of
them were understood about CCPC
very much right now. Sometimes we
heard from another people said like
this or like that, but the true is we
must to come and studying with all
of these cases; it is good than only
heard from anywhere.
MHC’s team come to visit in Svay
Rieng
On 22 of October 2010 Manukau Hope
Center’s team were bringing some
humanity gifts to give to the prisoners
in the Svay Rieng Prison and by
intervention of H.E Rev. Ung Ty chief
of the prisoner had allowed us to do our
program in the prison as well.
Our program such as: Drama and the
meaning of drama said about the person
do the wrong thing and after they
changed or returned from the wrong
thing God will accept them as His son
and after that they do a Dance, Sings
and Life Testimonies.
And the end of the program the team
had shared some soaps, noodles,
toothpastes, toothbrushes and plus with
our evangelism booklets for the
prisoners. And the final the team had
also gave some gifts to the Guard and
the Chief of the prison too.
And on 23 of October 2010 this team
was bringing the doctor and nurse to
examine, check up, and provide
medicine to all people by reaching them
to know the Lord in Prash Bakkor
village, Savy Rieng province. We saw
that the chief village had come to join
and check up with the doctor too.
Hundred people come to take care with
our doctor. This is a humanity activities
to help to our people in Cambodia,
especially we take care all of them by
do not get money.
And on 24 of October 2010 this
team had traveled to visit our House
Church in Traok village and do
some bible preaching, lift
testimonies, dace, sings and the end
of the program all of them had lunch
together with our church member
are very happy.
Also on the same day the team was
sharing some clothes to the Kids in
Troak village and about 100+ had
got clothes and blessed from them.

team had also join with our Church
Service in Svay Rieng town. Our
church members about 150+ came to
worship God and got many experiences
from the team from Pastor Luka's
Team. The end of our service we had
prayed to each other and asking the
blessing from our God and have some
snack together and all of us are very
happy in our God's hands. Amen
Seminar and Mobile Medical
Clinic in Svay Rieng Province
Senator Rev. Ung Ty chaiman of CCPC
had allowed our brothers and sister
from New Zealand bring their doctors
team come to Svay Rieng province to
work with his CCPC representative
over there.
The CCPC had a Seminar with our
pastors in Svay Rieng and do a Mobile
Medical Clinic for 2 days from 28 and
30 of August 2010.
The Seminar had go smoothly by
training them about how to do the
church planting and how to evangelism
in our community that we are living.
And about 70 pastors and leaders
came from difference churches and
denominations. We had got a lot of
new experience from our pastors
from New Zealand. Not only, we
have discustion about how to help to
each other in Svay Rieng province
when we face with problems or
dangerous.
Praise the Lord everything go
smoothly by the Grace of God.
Our brothers and sisters from New
Zealand are very happy and they
said that they will come again and
for the next time they will bring
their friends come with them too.
Doctor and Nurse from South
Africa come to examine, checkup,
and provide medicine to...
On 04 October 2010, Senator Rev. Ung
Ty Chairman of CCPC had allowed his
CCPC representative in Oddar
Meancheay province to lead Doctor and
Nurse from South Africa to examine,
checkup, and provide medicine to the
people in Prash Trapang village, Prash
Trapang commune, Anlong Veng
District, Oddar Meancheay province.
About 150 families came to examine,
checkup, and provide medicine by our
doctor.
 And on 05 October 2010 we also
came to examine, checkup, and
provide medicine to the people in
Prash Trapang village, Prash
Trapang commune, Anlong Veng
District, Oddar Meancheay
province. About 250 families came
to examine, checkup, and provide
medicine by Doctor.

With these two days we saw that chief village; chief commune and chief district also came to join with us and
said that, they want to have liked this in next time because they never got like this before. Please continue to
pray. Praise the Lord.
